A method for operating a textile machine is provided to produce roving from a fiber bundle with a consolidating means, the roving having a protective twist. The produced roving is wound onto a tube with a winding device. During the winding process, the roving is guided a guide element arranged between the consolidating means and the tube, wherein the guide element exerts a decelerating effect on the roving. The decelerating effect is controlled during operation of the textile machine such that the decelerating effect is lower during a start procedure while the roving leaving the consolidating means is brought into contact with a tube or during a tube change while a wound tube is replaced by an empty tube than during a winding process that takes place between the start procedure and the tube change.

Textile machine for the production of roving and method for operating the same

A method and associated textile machine are provided to produce a roving having a protective twist from a fiber bundle fed to a consolidating means. The produced roving is wound with a winding device onto a tube arranged at a winding position. After the wound tube has been fully or partially wound with the roving, a tube change is initiated. During the tube change, the wound tube is removed from the winding position and an empty tube is moved into the winding position. During the tube change, the roving is wound onto the wound tube at least until the roving comes into contact with the empty tube as a result of the tube change such that the production of the roving is not interrupted during the tube change. During the tube change, the roving is wound onto the wound tube in a region that lies outside a region last wound prior to the tube change.

Textile machine and method for operating same

An air spinning device has a nozzle body and a hollow spindle with a spindle tip and a longitudinal axis, wherein the spindle tip protrudes into the nozzle body. An outlet channel having a ring-shaped cross-sectional area is formed between an outside surface of the spindle tip and an inside surface of the nozzle body. The gap width at a certain location of the outlet channel normal to the longitudinal axis of the spindle is constant over the circumference of the spindle. The outside surface of the spindle tip and/or the inside surface of the nozzle body is/are shaped in such a way that at least two constrictions are formed in the outlet channel in its course in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the spindle, wherein the outlet channel has a ring-shaped cross-sectional area at each of these constrictions smaller than the ring-shaped cross-sectional area of the outlet channel upstream and downstream from each of these constrictions.

Air-jet spinning apparatus

A power-on reset circuit. The power-on reset circuit includes a switch, a current source coupled between a first potential and a switch first contact; a resistive device having a resistive-device first contact coupled to the first potential; a first module coupled between a second potential and a switch second contact; a second module coupled between the second potential and resistive-device second contact; and an inverter having an inverter input coupled to the resistive-device second contact. Current through the second module mirrors current through the first module. If a first mirrored potential of the second potential present on a switch control contact is greater than a preselected value, the switch first contact is coupled to the switch second contact. Otherwise, the switch first contact is decoupled from the switch second contact.

Power-on reset circuit

A reset circuit includes a power supply supplying a power supply voltage, and a band-gap reference that generates a voltage reference signal. A resistor start-up circuit is responsive to the voltage reference signal, and further responsive to an increase in the power supply voltage. The resistor start-up circuit generates a first current when the power supply voltage increases to a first predetermined voltage, and further generates a second current when the power supply voltage increases to a second predetermined voltage. When the second current generated by the resistor start-up circuit is supplied to a resistor divider, the resistor diver delivers an output voltage that is a predetermined portion of the power supply voltage. A comparator compares the voltage reference signal with the resistor divider output voltage, and generates a reset signal when the resistor divider output voltage equals the voltage reference signal.
