An automated beverage-making system includes one or more ingredient dispenser assemblies configured to store ingredients therein and disposed within a refrigerator/freezer system. Each of the ingredient dispenser assembles are in control communication with a communications hub and the communications hub is configured to receive instructions for actuating the one or more ingredient dispenser assemblies according to a recipe, wherein the ingredients are combined in a blender.

Automated beverage dispensing system and method

Laser markable coatings include a marking pigment and a fixing material. The marking pigment may comprise titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, zinc sulfide or the like. The fixing material may comprise bismuth trioxide, antimony oxide and the like, and preferably has a melting temperature below 1,300&deg; C. A preferred laser marking composition includes TiO and Bi O in a weight ratio of about 1:1. After application to a substrate and laser irradiation, the fixing material stabilizes the resultant mark.

Laser marking compositions and method

Alkaline earth-manganese oxides are used as pigments. The alkaline earth-manganese oxide pigments are preferably of the formula Me MnO , where Me is at least one metal selected from Ca, Sr, Ba and Mg, x is from 0.01 to 99, and y is greater than or equal to x&plus;1 and less than or equal to x&plus;2. The pigments are useful as colorants, and also possess improved reflectance characteristics, particularly in the IR region, and may reduce IR-induced heat buildup. These colorants can be used to form colored objects, or coat objects when they are either added into or applied onto materials such as paints, inks, plastics, glasses, ceramics and the like. The patent also covers the production of these pigments.

Alkaline earth-manganese oxide pigments

Bismuth vanadate (BiVO.sub.4) is prepared by reaction in nitric acid suspension of a solid bismuth-containing compound and a solid vanadium-containing compound while being subjected to milling at a temperature from 20.degree.-100.degree. C. The bismuth vanadate prepared by this process is a bright, high tinting yellow pigment particularly useful in pigmenting polymers and paints.

Process for preparing bismuth vanadate pigments

An improved solid state process for the preparation of compounds based on bismuth vanadate wherein the improvement comprises subjecting the reaction product to wet grinding in alkaline solution or to sequential wet grinding and alkaline treatment, said process modification resulting in the preparation of bright, high tinting yellow pigments.

In glass enamel coating compositions containing a glass frit system and a vehicle therefor, the improvement comprising the presence therein of iron, aluminum, zinc and tin sulfides or sulfates as an anti-stick agent; the resulting coatings being effective for application to glass sheets which are subsequently subjected to high temperature forming procedures.
