A protective cover used to cover the head of a stethoscope and other items that contact the human body. The protective cover is made from a substrate film. The substrate film has opposing curved edges and opposing flat edges. Tab material is applied to the substrate film proximate the opposing curved edges. A coating of tacky adhesive is applied to the bottom surface of the substrate film between the tab material and between the opposing flat edges. The protective covers can be interconnected as a continuous chain, whereby separate protective covers are torn away along perforations. The chain can be wound onto a roll. The roll is held in a box for storage and dispensing. A slot is formed in the box through which individual protective covers can be removed from the roll.

A medical electrode is made up of an insulating adhesive layer and an electrically conducting contact layer secured in a frictionally abutting relationship on an electrical terminal such that the contact layer is independently rotatable about the terminal. The contact layer provides an electrically conductive surface enabled for establishing common potential simultaneously with at least one removable electrode and the terminal. The terminal provides a base portion positioned for electrical contact with a skin surface when the adhesive layer is adhered to the skin surface.

A medical electrode provides the ability to simultaneously connect at least two medical-electrical monitoring or testing instruments to an electrode positioned at a specific location on a patient's body. The electrode includes a conductive layer with a tab portion extending from a body. The body includes an aperture which is sized and configured to receive a conductive post of the electrode. The tab portion extends outwardly from the body with the aperture receiving the conductive post of the electrode such that the tab portion provides an attachment point for a conventional clip of an auxiliary piece of electrical instrument. The tab portion of the electrode does not interfere with the attachment of an electrical connector of a primary electrical instrument to the conductive post of the electrode.
