A brush is described that includes a body, a carrier, a plurality of bristles and a frame. Each bristle is secured to the carrier and extends through a respective hole in the frame. The carrier deforms in response to pivoting of each bristle, and is held between the body and the frame at each bristle.

An attachment includes a casing having an air inlet for receiving airflow from a hair styling apparatus, a hair engaging member supported by the casing, an airflow outlet between the casing and the hair engaging member and shaped to direct air over an external surface of the hair engaging member and airflow guiding means extending over the external surface of the hair engaging member.

A central pack disposed between the first arm and the second arm and coupled to the hair styling apparatus at the hinge end and a biasing means adapted to support the central pack symmetrically between the first arm and the second arm.

A plenum in at least one arm includes an air inlet for receiving airflow from a fan unit and an air outlet for emitting airflow towards hair within the cavity.
