The cartridge holder comprises a lower jaw with a drain connector and an upper jaw with a supply connector. A cartridge may be placed between both jaws, the nipples of the cartridge being connected with the connectors. For flushing or disinfecting, the upper jaw is lowered to the lower jaw. An intermediate jaw, previously swivelled to the side, is automatically aligned with the lower jaw so that it interconnects the connectors of the outer jaws. The connectors of the outer jaws are alike. The intermediate jaw is provided with connection elements fitting into the connectors. Thus, it acts as an adapter.

Cartridge holder for a dialyser

A dialyzing machine is provided with a cartridge holder to which a filter cartridge (,) or a dialyzer cartridge can be fastened. The cartridge holder (,) comprises a holding element (,) retaining the cartridge (,) and a clamping element (,) which is movable relatively to the holding element and radially to the inserted cartridge. The clamping element can be moved from an open position into a closed position. It comprises two connecting members (,) cooperating with the lateral connecting studs (,) of the cartridge, the connecting members (,) sealingly engaging with the two connecting studs (,) of the cartridge when the clamping element (,) is moved into the closed position. In this way a connection with the two connecting studs of the cartridge is produced by simply attaching the cartridge to the cartridge holder. It is no longer necessary to individually connect hoses to the connecting studs.

Cartridge holder for a dialyzing machine

A syringe for an injector utilizes a cylinder having a deformable wall portion in the outlet end. Excessive pressure within the syringe cylinder, or contact with the syringe piston at the end of its stroke distends the deformable wall portion of the cylinder, actuating a sensor which provides a signal.

Distensible syringe and sensor for injectors

An injector for squeezing liquid from a medical syringe is disclosed. On a housing (10), a first holder is (11) fastened. A first end of a syringe cylinder is joined to the first holder (11). The syringe piston (15) is joined to a second holder (13). The second holder (13) is fastened to a slide (12) which is displaceable relative to the housing (10). The drive of the slide (12) is effected by way of a pipe (26) and a ball gear (27, 28) on a spindle (28). The end of the spindle (28) is connected with the slide (12) through a free-wheeling mechanism. The spindle (28) can be rotated by hand with a rotary button (30). When the free-wheeling mechanism is released, the slide (12) can be pulled linearly into a desired position. The ball gear drive mechanism (27, 28) ensures that when the motor is turned on, the slide (12) is driven at once without first requiring an engagement of a tooth system or a screwthread.

Injector for medical uses

An injector for medical uses comprises a housing (30) on which a first holder (65) for holding the front end of a syringe (13) is movably mounted. A slide (32) is movable relative to the housing (30). A second holder (66) for attachment of the syringe piston (14) is mounted to the slide (32). When the force exerted by the syringe cylinder (12) on the first holder (65) reaches an overload condition, the first holder (65) moves counter to the action of a spring (58). An actuating element (62) connected to first holder (65) then actuates a switch (48) whereby the motor drive of the slide (32) is turned off.
