A target assembly that is configured to withstand high-velocity impact from a projectile. These configurations may comprise elastic members, or 'bungee' cords, that generate elastic forces to return the target assembly to its orientation prior to impact. The bungee cords are less likely to undergo inelastic deformation; so these components afford the target assembly with longer life or longevity under heavy duty cycles.

The system may be configured for receiving position data, in real-time, that relates to a location of a player on a venue, comparing the position data with registration data for tracked locations on the venue found in an instruction listing, selecting an instruction from the instruction listing indicating that the real-time position data corresponds with the registration data for the tracked locations, and generating an output that conveys the instruction to the player to perform an action. In on implementation, the systemmay also process ball-related data, in conjunction with the real-time position data, where the ball-related data relates to the presence or absence of the ball at, near, or in proximity to portable equipment (e.g., a lacrosse stick) carried by the athletes during game play.

The mixture of hydrocolloids includes a lower-temperature gelling hydrocolloid and a higher-temperature gelling hydrocolloid. The compositions may further include a liquid activator, which may be added to the dry mix to hydrate the composition, and enable use of the composition in any application typically calling for raw eggs, e.g., scrambled eggs, omelets, frittatas, etc. The compositions (in dry or hydrated form) may also be used as egg-substitutes in various different applications, such as in emulsions (e.g., mayonnaise), and baking mixes.

An anti-tamper lock is released by a probe key, on the leading face of the cartridge, that couples with a receptor on the trailing face of the used cartridge.

A safety system for detecting ice on the external surfaces of aircraft that are awaiting take-off from airports is disclosed. Multiple optical sensors mounted flush with the craft skin emit coded radiation signals away from the craft's skin. If a layer of ice is present on a sensor, light is reflected back to a corresponding detector, generating an electrical signal. Reflection from water or antifreeze or from environmental or endogenous noise yield distorted signals that are rejected by the code-reading circuitry. Relevant signals are sent to the cockpit, where the location of the ice on the aircraft is displayed for the crew, as well as to the airport tower via standard communication link, and to the flight data recorder. The invention assures that ice is detected at all critical times while the craft proceeds from the terminal to when it is airborne. Visual and audible alarms inform the pilot if unacceptable conditions prevail.
