There is provided in an embodiment a hydraulic fluid heat dissipation control assembly for an aircraft hydraulic system. The hydraulic fluid heat dissipation control assembly has one or more heat exchangers. The hydraulic fluid heat dissipation control assembly further has at least one flow control element coupled to the one or more heat exchangers to control flow and heat dissipation of a hydraulic fluid. There is also provided a method of controlling heat dissipation of a hydraulic fluid in an aircraft hydraulic system using the hydraulic fluid heat dissipation control assembly disclosed herein.

Hydraulic fluid heat dissipation control assembly and method

A system for providing vehicle part information includes a build configuration module that provides delta information that indicates a change in build configurations for vehicles. The build configuration indicates vehicle parts that were used at specific manufacturing plants on the vehicles during a time period. A build data module includes vehicle identification information that indicates predetermined build parameters for the vehicles. A display control module includes a database that combines the delta information and the vehicle identification information in a matrix and that stores the matrix.

Virtual vehicle system

An automotive vehicle steering column assembly includes an elongated collapsible steering column, a lower support for the lower end portion of the steering column and an upper support for the upper end portion of the steering column. The lower support comprises a bracket connected to vehicle support structure and constructed to absorb energy and guide movement of the lower end portion of the steering column when the steering column collapses in a frontal impact. The upper support comprises a swing unit for controlling the movement of the upper end portion of the steering column when it collapses. The swing unit comprises a lock mechanism including a rod slidable in a tubular housing. The rod is connected to the upper end portion of the steering column and can be locked in adjusted position within the housing depending on the tilt desired. A swing arm has one end portion rotatably received in a fixed mounting block, to which the housing of the lock mechanism is connected. A torque bar in the block has a non-rotatable connection to the first end of the swing arm to resist rotation thereof.

Collapsible steering column assembly

A steering column assembly for a collapsible energy absorbing steering column includes a lower support bracket for pivotally attaching a lower portion of the steering column to vehicle support structure. The steering column assembly includes an upper mounting mechanism for pivotally attaching an upper portion of the steering column to vehicle support structure. The steering column assembly includes a locking structure for locking the steering column in a plurality of tilt positions relative to the upper mounting mechanism. The steering column assembly further includes tilt release lever assembly for actuating the locking structure to allow the steering column to be tilted to a desired position and locked in place. The tilt release lever assembly includes a tilt release lever being made as one-piece from a plastic material.

A steering column assembly for a collapsible energy absorbing vehicle steering column includes a lower support bracket for pivotally attaching a lower portion of the steering column to vehicle support structure and an upper mounting mechanism for attaching an upper portion of the steering column to vehicle support structure, the upper mounting mechanism having a structure for guiding movement of the steering column along an arcuate path during a collision.

A steering column assembly for a collapsible energy absorbing vehicle steering column includes a lower support bracket for pivotally attaching a lower portion of the steering column to vehicle support structure and an upper mounting mechanism for attaching an upper portion of the steering column to vehicle support structure, the lower support bracket having a structure for absorbing energy of the steering column and for guiding movement of the steering column a predetermined path during a collision.

A fastening arrangement for attaching a handgrip knob assembly to a vehicle gearshift lever rod. The knob has a through cavity comprising an upper cavity portion, an intermediate cavity portion supporting a metal insert, and a lower upwardly tapered cavity portion. The insert upper surface defining a bottom wall clamping surface of the upper cavity portion bottom wall. An internally threaded insert through bore is divided from a lower counterbored portion by an internal stop shoulder. The shift lever rod has an upper threaded stem connected by a cylindrical shank portion to an upwardly tapered rod section while the stem portion terminates in a frustoconical pilot end. A rod external stop shoulder divides the stem and shank sections. A spring steel drive washer, having a central aperture intermeshed with an upper crown portion of a locknut, is initially press-fitted in the upper cavity until its outer edge frictionally engages a serrated portion of the upper cavity. Assembly begins with the installer releasing the knob assembly above the rod stem such that the knob's lead-in cavity slidably receives the rod stem in a gravity induced torque ready manner. Initial torquing of the locknut results in self-threading of the stem through the insert and into the locknut bore causing the stop shoulders to clamp in a first anti-rotational lock. Continued torquing releases the frictionally retained drive washer from the serrated portion thereby clamping the locknut undersurface against the cavity bottom wall providing a second anti-rotational lock.

Gearshift knob attaching arrangement

A lost motion link for allowing selective control of the throttle valve of a vehicle engine between accelerator pedal linkage and speed control system linkage comprises: an elongated body having an enclosed longitudinal passage dimensioned to receive an enlarged cable terminus, an integral flange for pivotally mounting the body to the throttle valve actuator, and a restricted portion of the longitudinal passage entraining the terminus in the body.

Lost motion link

A cable mount comprises a tubular body having a radially enlarged flange and retaining fingers axially spaced from and inclined toward the enlarged flange adapted to retain the mount within an apertured panel. The cable mount also includes an axial extension including one part of a two-piece ball and socket connection. A second piece of the ball and socket connection is provided on a cable accessory such as a tubular sheath which can therefore be swivelly mounted with respect to the cable mount. Another cable accessory comprises a barrier cap which covers the opening in the apertured panel and a registering opening in any trim material covering the panel. In addition, an integral cable assembly according to the present invention includes a pair of cable mounts and any mating cable accessories such as sheaths or barrier caps, and these components are entrained between the ends of the cable by an enlarged terminus at each end of the cable.

Cable mounts

The phase of a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) can be controlled and changed by a series of pulses applied through an isolating element such as a capacitor. A small amount of current injected into the reactive element distorts the waveform of the VCO during the period of injection. Depending on the power of the pulse of injected current, a corresponding phase shift in the output of the VCO will result during the period of injection. The pulses are applied at a frequency equivalent to the desired frequency. Assuming the waveform of the VCO to be sinusoidal or otherwise symmetrical, the injected current pulses result in one point on the waveform where the distortion will be symmetrical and stable. The injection of repeated pulses results in this stable point eventually occurring symmetrically about the peak of the VCO waveform thereby locking the phase of the VCO to correspond to the frequency of the injected pulses.

Current pulse-injected, phase-locked oscillator

A backgammon game board for simultneous play of at least three players. The game board is divided by transverse and longitudinal lines to provide eight adjoining boards, each of said boards including six points. Each player has a pair of said boards and color coded playing pieces. The complete board contains forty-eight playing points, and each player moves his playing pieces through both his pair of boards and those of an opponent.

Multi-player backgammon

Backgammon game board for the simultaneous play of four players. The game board is divided by transverse and longitudinal line to provide eight boards, each board including six points, said boards being symmetrically disposed about a central playing area. The central playing area contains selectively eight, 10 or 12 playing points through which each player must move his playing pieces from his two outer boards to his two inner boards. The eight boards contain 48 playing points which may be color coded in a manner corresponding to the color coding of the playing pieces so as to identify the flow of each player's playing pieces.
