Cutting members for razors are provided that have a blade portion and a base portion, the blade portion having a cutting edge region terminated at a free end thereof and an opposing non-cutting edge region, the blade portion being bent relative to the base portion in a bent portion spaced from the cutting edge region and adjacent to the non-cutting edge region, wherein the bent portion extends about 108 degrees to about 115 degrees from the base portion, the bent portion having a radius of about 0.30 mm to about 0.45 mm, at least part of the cutting member having a hardness of about hardness of about 540 HV to about 750 HV, and a thickness of the bent portion is less than the average thickness of the cutting member.

Cutting members for shaving razors

Cutting members for razors are provided that have been subjected to a localized heat-treating process, e.g., application of laser energy. In some cases, the cutting members include a bent portion, and the localized heat-treating process is used to enhance ductility and thereby facilitate formation of the bent portion.

An alkaline battery includes a cathode, an anode, a separator between the anode and the cathode, and an alkaline electrolyte contacting the anode and the cathode. The separator includes a first generally cylindrical body. The first generally cylindrical body includes a first wall section, a second wall section, and a first folded section. The first folded section is radially outwardly disposed from the first wall section.

Battery separator and method of making same

A shaving razor cartridge including a housing having an upper surface, a housing opening in the upper surface and side surfaces extending downward from the upper surface, blades mounted in the opening and supported by the housing, and a retaining clip on the upper surface having a clip opening around the housing opening. The retaining clip is made of flat painted sheet metal that has been drawn so as to provide an upper surface extending outward of the clip opening and side surfaces extending downward over the side surfaces of the housing. The paint on the sheet metal has sufficient delamination properties to pass a delamination test involving drawing a piece of flat painted sheet metal such that the paint is compressed greater than 35% and inspecting the resulting drawn piece of sheet metal to see there has been delamination of the paint.
