An improved RF/microwave stripline structure fabricated from a PWB suspended inside of a sheet metal enclosure. The enclosure is formed by top and bottom sheet metal covers each having a plurality of flanges that are coupled to the PWB. The PWB contains identical conductive transmission lines on its top and bottom layers. Plated through holes electrically couple the transmission lines on both layers of the PWB. RF/microwave input and output connectors extend through the bottom cover and are coupled to the transmission lines. Critical dimensions between the transmission lines are controlled by the PWB artwork and are not effected by any misalignment of mechanical parts.

RF/microwave stripline structures and method for fabricating same

A removable RF shield cover that snap-fit attaches to RF shield fence walls without special tools or soldering. The RF shield cover engage the interior surface of the shield wall with a tensional force that holds the RF shield cover and provides for a continuous metal-to-metal seal to isolate electronic components to reduce RF emissions or protect against electo-magnetic interference. The snap-fit attachment enables the RF shield cover to be easily removed from the fence, without special tools, to access components within the RF shield enclosure.

Radio frequency shield can cover with internal fingers

Disclosed is an optical fiber distribution apparatus where the fibers are organized in a horizontal position above or below vertically mounted circuit packs and recessed from the circuit pack faceplates. A fiber termination on a top or bottom edge of each circuit pack mates with connectors to the fibers in the horizontal position.
