An automatic dual pump assembly for a pumped refrigerant cooling system including a refrigerant reservoir for receiving a refrigerant fluid includes a first pump having a first pump inlet and a first pump outlet, a first variable frequency drive coupled to the first pump, a second pump having a second pump inlet and a second pump outlet, a second variable frequency drive coupled to the second pump, and a three-way valve having an input arm fluidly coupled to the refrigerant reservoir, a first outlet arm fluidly coupled to the first pump inlet, and a second outlet arm coupled to the second pump inlet. The first pump outlet and the second pump outlet are coupled to a refrigerant supply line, and the three-way valve selectively controls flow of the refrigerant fluid to one or both of the first pump and the second pump.

A printhead includes a nozzle plate including a plurality of nozzles and a manifold body bonded to the nozzle plate. The manifold body includes a liquid channel in fluid communication with the plurality of nozzles. A cavity that dampens pressure modulation in liquid channel of the manifold body is located between the nozzle plate and the manifold body. The cavity is fluidically common to the plurality of nozzles.

A method of printing an image with a continuous inkjet printer system employing bimodal drop size generation with pigmented inkjet ink compositions comprising a polymer additive, wherein the liquid ink is an aqueous inkjet ink comprises dispersed pigment colorant particles having a mean particle size of less than 150 nanometers and at least about 0.1 wt % of polymer additive distinct from any polymer dispersant used to disperse the pigment particles, and recirculating liquid ink supplied to the nozzle if the printer system from a liquid ink source is in-line filtered with a filter selected to be effective at retaining particles having particle sizes equal to and greater than 0.6 micrometers from the liquid ink and to pass the dispersed pigment particles. The invention enables high quality drop control in a continuous inkjet printing system.

Continuous inkjet printing method

A method for providing drop placement adjustment of drops deposited on a print media by a printhead in a continuous inkjet printer, the method comprising the steps of providing the printhead with a drop generator having at least one nozzle; moving the printhead relative to the print media; causing the printhead to form drops from the at least one nozzle with a drop formation period being the time between consecutive drop formations; wherein a portion of the formed drops are allowed to strike pixel locations on the print media for forming print drops, while other drops are directed toward a catcher and do not strike the print media for forming catch drops; creating a series of the print drops to print on a series of consecutive pixel locations; and adjusting a velocity of a portion of the formed print drops relative to a velocity of other print drops to adjust the placement of the print drop within the pixel locations.

A method for operating a jetting module includes applying to a drop forming mechanism a sequence of drop formation waveforms in which a small-drop waveform applied after another identical small-drop waveform causes a small drop of volume Vs to be formed; applying a large-drop waveform after another identical large-drop waveform causes a large drop of volume Vto be formed, and applying a large-drop waveform adjacent to a small-drop waveform can be done in a way that produces a large drop having a volume V, where Vis different than Vand a small drop of volume V, where Vis different than Vs.

A method for operating a continuous inkjet printer, the method includes forming drops with a drop formation period being the time between consecutive drop formations; creating a portion of the drops that strike the print media for forming print drops; creating a portion of the created drops that do not strike the print media for forming catch drops; creating the print drops to print on a series of consecutive pixel locations; wherein a time between the creation of consecutive print drops is inconsistent which causes an additional catch drop so that a gap is created; wherein when a gap is created, adjusting a velocity of the print drop adjacent to the gap to cause the print drop to shift slightly toward the gap.

A process for the formation of particles of a target material is disclosed, comprising: (i) introducing the target material into a particle formation vessel, and forming a continuous liquid surface of the target material in the particle formation vessel, and an interface between said liquid surface of the target material and additional gaseous contents of said particle formation vessel; (ii) introducing a stream of cryogenic material including solid particles of cryogenic material into the particle formation vessel and into contact with the target material in a liquid state below the continuous liquid surface; (iii) allowing rapid volumetric expansion of the cryogenic material into a gaseous state while in contact with the target material in a liquid state, and release of the expanded gaseous cryogenic material through the continuous liquid surface, and forming liquid droplet particles of the target material; and (iv) collecting the formed particles of the target material.
