An exhaust-gas turbocharger () having a compressor housing (); a turbine housing (); and a bearing housing () which has a compressor-side flange () and which has a turbine-housing-side flange (). The turbine-housing-side flange () is produced from a material which corresponds in terms of its mechanical and thermal properties to the material of the turbine housing ().

The present invention relates to an exhaust-gas turbocharger () having a turbine housing () and having a manifold section () which is connected to the turbine housing (), wherein the turbine housing () and the manifold section () are formed as a single-piece cast part.

A turbocharger with an improved suspension mechanism for the actuation ring of a variable nozzle mechanism, for improved maintenance of the geometry of the suspension mechanism in the case of higher temperature oscillations. The suspension mechanism includes a number of guide rollers () provided between a housing part () and nozzle ring () with circumferential grooves () in which the inner circumference of the actuating ring rides. The rollers are freely rotatable on pins (), and these pins are inserted in bores (or) either in a housing part () or in the nozzle ring (), but not both.

Turbocharger for vehicle with improved suspension of the actuating mechanism for variable nozzles

A turbocharger with an improved suspension mechanism for the actuation ring of a variable nozzle mechanism, for improved maintenance of the geometry of the suspension mechanism in the case of extreme temperature oscillations. The suspension mechanism includes a number of guide rollers () provided between housing part () and nozzle ring () with circumferential grooves () in which the inner circumference of the actuating ring rides. The rollers are formed as one piece together with axial extensions (), which extensions are rotatably seated in appropriate bores in the nozzle ring () and/or in the housing part (). The axial extensions can have diameters which are smaller than or the same as the diameter of the actual roller part.

An exhaust gas-driven turbocharger ( ) exhibits an adjustable radial turbine ( ) which powers a compressor ( ) by way of a common shaft ( ), whereby a turbine housing ( ) designed with a multiplicity of scrolls surround the turbine wheel ( ) and exhibits at least two afflux ports ( ) annularly encompassing the turbine wheel ( ), whose outlets ( ) at least partly surround the wheel approach ( ) of the turbine wheel ( ) and which are at an axial distance from one another. An annular, axially displaceable coupler ( ) is provided for opening and closing the outlet ( ) of at least one afflux port ( ), so that the boost pressure of the turbine can be influenced thereby.

Controllable exhaust gas turbocharger with a double-fluted turbine housing

An exhaust gas turbocharger comprising a turbine with a guide apparatus comprising a ring of guide vanes arranged concentrically around a rotor axis and pivotable between two end limits. A first securing ring is arranged at the side of a bearing housing for mounting a first trunnion of each guide vane which is also mounted at the side of an oppositely disposed turbine housing. An adjusting mechanism is provided for adjusting one of the two end limits, and the guide vanes are freely pivotable under the influence of flow forces in the resulting predetemined angle adjustment range. The arrangement makes possible a compact construction which can be fabricated at reduced cost and easily assembled. This is achieved by an assembly containing the guide apparatus and the adjusting mechanism, and which includes a second securing ring arranged at the side of a turbine housing for mounting a second trunnion of each guide vane. The assembly has an inner diameter which is larger than the outer diameter of the turbine wheel, and the two securing rings are connected to each other in axially spaced relation by connecting elements to form a flow channel in which the guide vanes are disposed.
