The sealing roll includes a stationary internal shaft and an inductively heatable roll jacket supported with freedom to rotate around the shaft. A plurality of induction coils is wound around the shaft over ferrites, which are open to the outside. Cables for the induction coils are laid through a cable conduit in the shaft for connection to an external induction generator. A water cooling channel for indirectly cooling the induction coils is also arranged in the shaft. A cavity is formed in at least an axial subsection of the sealing roll between the roll jacket and the shaft, and at least part of a temperature detection device is arranged in the cavity or adjacent to the cavity so that an IR temperature sensor receives radiation emitted by the roll jacket and thus detects a temperature of the roll jacket.

Sealing roll

The device for sealing together a formed bottom sheet and a lidding sheet between a feed roll and a sealing roll has a heating unit for preheating the lidding sheet before the sealing operation. The heating unit is a contactless induction heating device which has coils and magnetic-field influencing elements which are arranged transversely to the travel direction of the lidding sheet and opposite at least one of the coils. The distance between each of the magnetic-field influencing elements and the at least one coil is adjusted by a control unit on the basis of measurement values of temperature sensors arranged downstream of the magnetic-field influencing elements in order to regulate the temperature profile of the lidding sheet.

Device for roll-sealing sheets

The device for the quantitatively regulated delivery of bulk product includes a supply tank for the bulk product and a slider element, which forms the boundary of an outlet gap on one side. The slider element comprises on its front end an elastic, U-shaped loop, the upper part of which is fixed in position, whereas a rear portion of the lower part of the loop is connected to a linear drive. The linear drive can be used both to adjust the width of the outlet gap by translational movement of the lower section of the loop and to produce a small-amplitude back-and-forth movement of the lower section of the loop. In this way, it is possible to release bulk product of various shapes and sizes reliably and without damage in a quantitatively regulated manner.
