An electrical enclosure includes gap-free trim plate installation. A switchboard or power panel includes an enclosure face with a central opening covered by a top label plate, a bottom label plate and a plurality of trim plates. The trim plate flanges cooperatively engage one another in an interlocking fashion. The interlocking arrangement allows the trim plates to remain in their installed position without external restraint during installation and removal.

A panelboard or switchboard enclosure,for a plurality of electrical distribution components,includes a face panel,with an opening,formed in a central portion thereof. A filler plate,extends across the opening,and is secured to the face panel,The face panel,is secured to the frame of a box assembly or cabinet,by fasteners,Releasing fasteners,allows the face panel,and all filler plates to be removed. A first end,of the filler plate,is pivotally secured to the face panel,by a hinge,and a second end,is releasably secured to the face panel,by a fastener,Individual filler plates can be opened by releasing the fastener,and pivoting the filler plate,about the hinge,to reveal the electrical distribution component(s),beneath that filler plate
