According to at least one embodiment, a system including a server is provided. The server includes a memory and at least one processor coupled to the memory. The at least one processor is configured to receive configuration information encoded in a QR code, the configuration information being based on one or more values of one or more configuration options for at least one programmable device. The at least one processor is also configured to determine if the configuration information is in accord with target configuration information and transmit a message indicating whether the configuration information is in accord with the target configuration information.

Systems and methods for programmable device installations

A cable cutting device having one handle of the cutter placed parallel and closely adjacent to the cable which is to undergo cutting. When a cable is about to be cut, the cable and the handle of the cutter are placed in a side by side relationship and both the cable and handle of the cutter are grasped by the user. The remaining handle is attached to a ratchet mechanism in the cutter and is oscillated to drive the cutter by means of a ratchet device to cut the cable which is still being grasped by the user. Now, the severed cable may be suitably disposed of in a controlled and safe manner. If the user is a utility lineman, the safety associated with the above operation cannot be overemphasized.

A method and delivery system for an area-specific precision control of biting insects, including flying and non-flying, biting arthropods, is described. CO,is metered through a tubing fence and dispensed into the center of traps that serve as visual targets for flying or walking biting arthropods. The outside membrane of a trap can be treated with mineral oil to capture and kill small arthropods such as sand flies of the genus Culicoides, or black flies of the genus Simulium. In addition, the membrane can be treated with insecticide formulations of Permethrin, Resmethrin, or Deltamethrin, to kill larger biting arthropods, such as ticks, mosquitoes, deer flies, horse flies, or stable flies. This method for biting arthropod control is an ecological-friendly alternative to the widespread broadcast application of organophosphate insecticides such as Derspan, Diprom, and Malthion.

A method and apparatus are provided for warning when the amplitude of conversations exceeds certain values. The apparatus includes a microphone and related circuitry which continuously produce a signal related to the amplitude of the conversation while the apparatus is operational. A comparator continuously compares the signal to a pre-set first value and produces an output as long as the signal indicates that the conversation exceeds a certain amplitude. There is a discriminator responsive to the comparator output which provides a discriminator output when the duration of the comparator output exceeds a pre-determined value. The discriminator is connected to an alarm which produces a warning signal when the discriminator provides the discriminator output. There may also be a second comparator which produces a visual signal when the amplitude of the conversation is above an amplitude which may be below the amplitude which activates the alarm.

Conversation level warning device

An apparatus for preventing fluid from boiling over the top edge of a cooking pot. The invention comprises a hollow cone having an open base and an open top, and spring clips for attaching the cone to the cooking pot's lid. Using the invention it is possible to boil such foods as rice without having the contents of the cooking pot boil over.

Boil-over preventer
