Systems and methods for providing policy tags to detect and reconcile inconsistencies between a network function (NF) producer and an NF consumer are provided herein. In an example, a system includes instructions for a NF producer to establish a first state with an NF consumer, where the NF producer and the NF consumer are in a 5G network, generate a first policy tag corresponding to the first state, and store the first policy tag as the latest stored policy tag. The latest policy tag is then transmitted in subsequent signaling from/to the NF consumer and signaling including the latest received policy tag is received from the NF consumer. A validation process is then performed with the latest received policy tag from the NF consumer and the communication is processed based on the validation process of the received policy tag.

According to one aspect, an IMS cluster node includes a serving call state control function (S-CSCF) for controlling media sessions between IMS users. The cluster node further includes a home subscriber service (HSS) function for storing and providing IMS subscription information to the S-CSCF function. A shared memory is operatively associated with the S-CSCF function and the HSS function. The S-CSCF function obtains IMS subscription information from the HSS function via the shared memory.

The method also includes maintaining, on the source card, a local memory table containing a list of service cards and corresponding flow control status of each service card. The local memory table on the source card is also queried to select a service card capable of performing the service. The message is transmitted to one of the service cards with an available flow control status.

At least one call state control function (CSCF) entity generates subscriber-related queries according to an abstracted profile (AP) protocol. At an abstracted profile server (APS), a CSCF-generated, subscriber-related query is received, subscriber information is gathered related to the CSCF-generated, subscriber-related query from at least one subscriber information database using a native protocol of the subscriber information database, a reply message for the CSCF-generated, subscriber-related query is generated based on the gathered subscriber information and the reply message is forwarded to a respective CSCF that generated the CSCF-generated subscriber-related query, the reply message being forwarded according to the AP protocol.

A method and system are described for distributing at least one clock signal between shelves in a multi-shelf modular computing system includes a clock signal generator for generating a first clock signal, an inter-shelf bus for carrying the first clock signal to a second shelf, and a first shelf manager module, associated with the second shelf, for receiving and regenerating the first clock signal and providing the regenerated first clock signal to at least one module within the second shelf. A system and method for detecting a location of a fault in an inter-shelf bus in a multi-shelf modular computing system is also disclosed. A power source applies a bias between at least two conductors of the inter-shelf bus. At least one module detects the applied bias to determine if a fault is located between the at least one shelf and the power source.

A method for connecting an externally accessible shared serial port to one of a plurality of target serial ports is provided. The target serial ports are associated with a plurality of different application cards within a shelf assembly. The method includes receiving, from an external device connected to an externally accessible shared serial port, a request for a connection between the externally accessible shared serial port and one of a plurality of target serial ports within a shelf assembly associated with a plurality of different application cards, and determining whether shelf resources are available to connect the externally accessible shared serial port to the requested target serial port. In response to determining that shelf resources are available, the externally accessible shared serial port is connected to the requested target serial port.

Methods and systems for distributing messages of a ring-topology-based link level communications protocol over a star-topology using a star-topology-based link level communications protocol are disclosed. According to one method, when a packet of the ring-topology-based link level communications protocol is received, it is determined whether the packet is to be sent to a number of destinations and returned to a sender. If the packet is intended for distribution to a number of destinations and return to the sender, the packet is encapsulated in a frame of the star-topology-based link level communications protocol, the destination address in the frame is set to a next destination address in a virtual ring topology, the frame is forwarded to a switch. The switch forwards the packet to the next destination in the virtual ring based on the input port and the destination address of the star-topology-based link level communications protocol. The process continues until the packet reaches the last destination in the virtual ring where the packet is encapsulated in a frame of the star-topology-based link level communications protocol and returned to the sender.

Methods and systems for preserving dynamic random access memory content in response to a hung processor condition are disclosed. In order to preserve dynamic random access memory content, a first watchdog timer is initiated and strobed at a predetermined time interval less than its timeout value. If a hung processor condition occurs and the strobing of the first watchdog timer fails, the first watchdog timer generates a non-maskable interrupt to the processor. The non-maskable interrupt triggers the processor to execute an interrupt service routine. If the processor is able to execute the interrupt service routine, the interrupt service routine controls the processor to perform a selective system reset and preserve dynamic random access memory contents. If the processor is not capable of executing the interrupt service routine, a board reset occurs and dynamic random access memory contents are cleared.

Methods and systems for preserving dynamic random access memory contents responsive to hung processor condition

A programmable logic device (PLD) in a microprocessor system is programmed with minimal load on system resources. A microprocessor reads programming data from a first memory using a parallel bussed interface and writes the programming data to a programming hardware assist engine using the parallel bussed interface. The programming hardware assist engine directs a portion of the programming data to a specified serial interface signal, and outputs a serial bit stream from the programming hardware assist engine to a serial programming interface of the PLD using the specified serial interface signal.
