A method of servicing a wellbore is provided. The method comprises establishing a communication link between a wellsite and a central control site, wherein the communication link carries sensor, audio, and video data to the central control site and carries command parameters to the wellsite to command wellbore servicing equipment on the wellsite. The data transmitted by the wellsite is analyzed at the central control site, stored in a data store at the central control site, and the results of analysis displayed on a display at the central control site.

System and method for remote wellbore servicing operations

The system of the subject invention includes an antenna system, a surface apparatus and a battery-powered remote apparatus useful for applications such as well bore telemetry. In well bore telemetry, the surface apparatus is located uphole on the earth's surface and the remote apparatus is positioned at a remote location downhole in a well bore. The remote apparatus includes a sensor/transmitter unit for sensing physical characteristics such as pressure and/or temperature. The remote apparatus conserves power stored in its battery by transmitting change-in-pressure and/or change-in-temperature data that requires less power for transmission than absolute pressure and/or temperature data. The remote apparatus also conserves power by transmitting absolute pressure data in a single data frame and transmitting absolute temperature data in portions in a series of data frames. The remote apparatus can transition between initial time delay, fixed transmit sequence, sleep, operation, and test states based on its control program and/or based upon the transmission of control data from the surface apparatus. The surface apparatus receives a main signal from the remote apparatus and a reference signal from the antenna system and uses the reference signal to remove noise components from the main signal.

Apparatuses and systems for reducing power consumption in remote sensing

Fluid level in a container is determined using a single pressure transducer connected to a portable body. The body contains a computer having a memory in which fluid level-to-fluid volume conversion data are stored for different shapes of containers so that fluid volume can be readily obtained for the shape of the respective container once fluid level is determined. These features allow a single monitoring apparatus to be used for monitoring different types of containers. The apparatus preferably includes a radio so that multiple apparatus can communicate in a system with a central remote operator interface device. Fluid level is determined by dividing a pressure reading from the bottom of the fluid by a fluid density determined from two prior pressure reading taken across a known distance (density equals the difference between the two readings divided by the distance).

Apparatus, method and system for monitoring fluid

A system and method for automatically pointing a microwave antenna at a desired satellite in geosynchronous earth orbit from a remote location, such as encountered in a well logging, is disclosed. The system uses a truck borne, gimbal mounted antenna and a computer arranged to automatically control and drive servo motors connected to the gimbal mounts of the antenna. Accurate pointing with minimal human intervention is achieved.

The disclosure relates to a technique for radio frequency heating of hydrocarbonaceous earth formations in which a high power radio frequency transmitter is impedance matched to a transmission line including a plurality of conductors at least partially embedded in the formation to be heated. The impedance matching may be effected by a 'T' network having three variable reactances. In accordance with the teachings of the present invention, continuous variations of impedance, of the type encountered during the heating of the formation, may be matched in unambiguously defined Smith chart regions by varying two of the three reactances to minimize reflected power from the transmission line.
