A lift axle control system is provided for a vehicle that has fixed axles and a lift axle. The lift axle is configured to move between a raised position spaced apart from the ground and a lowered position in contact with the ground to reduce the load carried by the fixed axles. The lift axle control system is configured to control the raising and lowering of the lift axle. According to a preferred embodiment of the disclosure, the lift axle control system includes a housing and a valve configured to control the flow of air to a lower bag that lowers the lift axle into contact with the ground.

A connector for connecting to helically corrugated conduit comprises a bolt member having a passageway therethrough and a connector body having a hollow end portion that receives the bolt member. The connector includes a collet clamp within the passageway that has a grooved gripping surface adapted to be received within the helical corrugations of the conduit. The collet clamp includes a plurality of fingers each having a radially inward directing gripping surface and a wedge-shaped outer surface. A bushing having a frustoconically shaped bore is advanced over the fingers of the collet clamp when the bolt member is attached to the connector body in order to force the fingers radially inward into gripping contact with the corrugated conduit.

Connector for helically corrugated conduit

A connector for connecting to helically corrugated conduit which comprises a bolt member having a passageway therethrough and a connecotr body having a hollow end portion for receiving the bolt member, In addition, the connector includes a helical spring within the passageway which is adapted to be received within the helical corrugations of the conduit. The connector further includes a means for forcing the bolt member into the hollow end portion of the body of the connector to squeeze the spring between the bolt member and connector body whereby the spring is axially forced against the corrugations. In addition, a method of connecting a helically corrugated conduit to a connector is disclosed which comprises the steps of (1) sliding a hollow bolt member having an internal flange over an end portion of the conduit until a part of the end portion closest to the end is uncovered; (2) screwing a helical spring onto a part of the uncovered end portion of the conduit until the entire spring is within the corrugations of the conduit; (3) sliding the bolt member axially over the spring until the internal flange of the bolt member contacts the spring; and (4) forcing the bolt member into a hollow end portion of the body of the connector.

Connector for connecting to helically corrugated conduit

An intraocular pressure sensor utilizes a small sensitive piezo-resistance strain gauge cell mounted in a curved semi-rigid holder which serves to position the planar pressure sensitive surface of the strain gauge cell in contact with the eyeball surface. Deformation of the strain gauge cell due to contact with the eyeball produces an output signal corresponding to the intraocular pressure. The sensor is small and can be worn in the eye like a contact lens for extended periods of time permitting the intraocular pressures to be accurately monitored under normal living conditions, including during sleep. Fine wires are led from the sensor out over the eyelid for connection to an external recording/monitoring apparatus.

Intraocular pressure sensor

A coaxial connector for mating a coaxial cable to a mating connector includes a hollow interior within the connector and insulation lining the hollow interior. Insulation lines the tubular passage through which the coaxial cable inner dielectric and center conductor are inserted into the hollow interior of the connector during field attachment of the connector to the cable. A tapered opening in the insulator lining the hollow interior is sized to receive and guide the inner dielectric of the coaxial cable being attached. There is also provided an access hole into the hollow interior to facilitate connection of the inner conductor of the coaxial cable to the center conductor pin of the connector. The access hole is closed by an insulation piece sized for insertion into the access hole.
