Dryer-added fabric conditioning articles and methods utilizing a fabric softener agent and a polymeric soil release agent. More specifically, damp fabrics are commingled with softener active and polymeric soil release agent in an automatic soil release benefits concurrently with the drying operation. The softening and antistatic soil release agents herein are preferably employed in combination with a dispensing means adapted for use in an automatic dryer.

Articles and methods for treating fabrics

Absorbent articles containing both pH control agents and substantially water-insoluble, highly neutralized hydrogel material as a fluid-absorbing polymer are disclosed. By placing pH control agents and hydrogel in distinct discrete zones within the article, absorbent products such as diapers can be realized which are highly effective for absorbing discharged body fluids and which also serve to prevent or reduce diaper rash.

Compositions and methods for removing oily triglyceride stains from fabrics employing a lipase enzyme and a lipase activator selected from the group consisting of naphthalene sulfonates, certain polyoxyalkylene derivatives of ethylenediamine and certain acylamino acid salts. The lipase-plus-activator compositions are utilized to pre-soak soiled fabrics, which are subsequently laundered using conventional household equipment.
