Disclosed is a colored high density polyethylene composition. The composition comprises a high density polyethylene, phthalocyanine blue, and talc. The composition exhibits reduced warpage in molded articles compared to those which do not contain talc. The composition is useful for injection molding and many other applications where a blue color is needed and low warpage is desired.

A polyethylene composition comprising 0.01% to 1% by weight of at least one platelet-shaped nano boehmite nucleator, wherein the platelet-shaped nano boehmite nucleator comprises at least 70% by weight of AlOand has a crystallite size of at least 5 nm, and the polyethylene composition comprises a density greater than 0.94 g/cm, a melt index (MI) ranging from equal to or greater than 0.3 g/10 min. up to equal to or less than 3 g/10 min., and a peak crystallization temperature (T) value determined according to ASTM D 3418, with an annealing temperature of 160&#xb0; C. and a cooling rate of 10&#xb0; C./min., that corresponds to formula (I):&#x2266;(*density)&#x2212;73.5&#xb0; C.&#x2003;&#x2003;(I)where A is 200 cm-&#xb0; C./g, Tis in units of &#xb0; C., and density is in units of g/cm.

Disclosed is a pipe resin composition. The composition comprises a polyethylene pipe resin, a primary antioxidant, and an acid. The composition of the invention has an increased oxidative induction time (OIT) and environmental stress cracking resistance (ESCR).

Polyolefin-based adhesives having improved oxidative stability

A lubricating oil suitable for use in &#x3b1;-olefin compressors and a high-pressure ethylene polymerization process is disclosed. The oil comprises a base fluid and a hindered C-Calkyl 4-hydroxybenzoate. The hindered C-Calkyl 4-hydroxybenzoate stabilizes the lubricating oil and does not interfere with the high-pressure &#x3b1;-olefin polymerization.
