A game system is disclosed that comprises a game processor configured to control game play of an electronic video game, and a game controller in electronic communication with the game processor. The game controller includes a plurality of appendicular members configured for respective engagement with legs and arms of a user, and a resistance control system providing a resistive force on each of the plurality of appendicular members with respect to movement of the legs and arms of the user. The resistive force provided by the resistance control system is adjustable in a generally continuous manner in response to the game play of the electronic video game. The game controller also includes a feedback control system responsive to at least one of a motion parameter, a force parameter, and/or a position parameter of each of the plurality of appendicular members to control the game play of the electronic video game.

Game system having full-body exercise apparatus controller with independently operable appendicular members

A full-body exercise system is described. The full-body exercise system includes a frame, and plurality of appendicular members extending from the frame. Each of the plurality of appendicular members is configured for engagement with a respective limb of a user. Further, each of the plurality of appendicular members is movable in a degree of freedom independent of other ones of the plurality of appendicular members. The full-body exercise system also includes a resistive system configured to provide a resistive force on each of the plurality of appendicular members with respect to movement in its respective degree of freedom. The resistive force provided by the resistive system on each of the plurality of appendicular members is adjustable in a generally continuous manner independent of resistive forces on other ones of the plurality of appendicular members.

Full-body exercise system including a plurality of independently operable appendicular members

An exercise network system is disclosed that comprises an electronic data communication link and a plurality of electronic video game workout systems. One or more of the plurality of electronic video game workout systems is configured for communication with at least one other video game workout system another over the electronic data communication link to transmit and receive data used for game play at each of the plurality of electronic video game workout systems. One or more of the electronic video game workout systems is further configured for execution of a full-body workout using a plurality of independently operable appendicular members configured for engagement with respective limbs of a user. Each of the plurality of appendicular members is movable in a degree of freedom independent of other ones of the plurality of appendicular members. Resistance on each of the plurality of appendicular members the is adjustable along and/or about its degree of freedom during game play based on locally generated data and data communicated over the electronic data communication link from other electronic video game workout systems.

Networked game system having multiple full-body exercise apparatus controllers

A crimping system comprises a frame having a plurality of plates with a clamp adjacent to the lower end. Applicator mechanisms are adapted to feed crimpable components coupled together by and releasably coupled to a carrier. A crimping mechanism has an anvil with at least one tooth and a nest with at least one recess associated with the anvil. A feeding mechanism coupled to the frame adapted to feed crimpable components between the anvil and the nest. An actuator arm coupled to the frame is adapted to move the anvil and nest toward each other.

Crimping system

A color cathode-ray tube (CRT) has an evacuated envelope with an electron gun therein for generating an electron beam. The envelope further includes a faceplate panel having a luminescent screen with phosphor elements on an interior surface thereof. A focus mask, having a plurality of spaced-apart first conductive strands, is located adjacent to an effective picture area of the screen. The spacing between the first conductive strands defines a plurality of apertures substantially parallel to the phosphor elements on the screen. Each of the first conductive strands has a substantially continuous slightly conductive insulating material layer formed on a screen facing side thereof. A plurality of second conductive wires are oriented substantially perpendicular to the plurality of first conductive strands and are bonded thereto by the slightly conductive insulating material layer. The slightly conductive insulating material layer is a composite material comprising one or more transition metal oxides and a lead-zinc-borosilicate glass.

Slightly conducting insulators for cathode-ray tube (CRT) applications

A method for forming a back panel for a plasma display includes preparing a green ceramic tape having a temperature coefficient of expansion (TCE) which matches the TCE of a metal core. Barrier ribs are formed on the back panel by embossing or scribing the green ceramic tape. The formed green ceramic tape is then bonded to the metal core. Finally, the bonded formed green ceramic tape and the metal core are cofired to form the back panel.

Method for forming back panel for a plasma display device

An apparatus is provided for crimping a crimpable connector onto at least one electrical conductor. The apparatus includes a pair of crimping arms defining a staging area behind a crimping area. The staging area allows a first connector to be fed thereto and moved to the crimping area to be crimped thereat. A second connector is fed to the staging area, and an ejector moves the second connector into engagement with the first connector to eject the first connector from the crimping area while the second connector moves into the crimping area.

Crimping apparatus for electrical connectors

A plasma display having a transparent front panel spaced from a back panel which is a metal core having layers of a dielectric material extending over and bonded to the core. Conductive electrodes are on the surface of or imbedded in the dielectric layer of the back panel. The materials of which the back panel is made are chosen to form a back panel having a thermal coefficient of expansion compatible with that of the front panel. Barrier ribs are formed on the back panel by embossing the green tape before cofiring the bonded assembly. The green tape is embossed using pulsed pressure and an embossing tool that is formed by assembling embossing members and spacing members in compression. The embossing tool further includes elastic spacers mounted outside of the embossing tool and in a position such that the elastic spacers are held in compression during the embossing operation to aid in releasing the embossed green tape from the embossing tool after the embossing operation.

Back panel for a plasma display device

A plasma display having a transparent front panel spaced from a back panel which is a metal core having layers of a dielectric material extending over and bonded to the core. Conductive electrodes are on the surface of or imbedded in the dielectric layer of the back panel. The materials of which the back panel is made are chosen to form a back panel having a thermal coefficient of expansion compatible with that of the front panel. The dielectric material is made from a green ceramic tape which is bonded to the core and cofired with the core to form the back panel. Barrier ribs are formed on the back panel by embossing or scribing the green tape before cofiring the bonded assembly. Slight differences in the TCEs of the front and back panels may be compensated for by heating the panel having the lower TCE to a temperature hotter than the panel having the lower TCE during the frit seal process. Alternatively, the materials for the dielectric may be chosen such that the composite TCE of the cofired assembly matches the TCE of the front panel.

Plasma display having specific substrate and barrier ribs

The present invention provides a liquid distribution system, which is useful in a number of contexts, including in accomplishing various synthetic, diagnostic and drug screening reactions. The distribution system can comprise an alpha reservoir and a beta reservoir, a first set of parallel and adjacent first and second feeder channels and a second set of parallel and adjacent third and fourth feeder channels which are offset from the first and second feeder channels, wherein (a) the first and third feeder channels are connected to the alpha reservoir via a first connector channel that is situated above or below the second and fourth feeder channels and are independent of the beta reservoir and (b) the second and fourth feeder channels are connected to the beta reservoir via a second connector channel that is situated above or below the first and third feeder channels and are independent of the alpha reservoir. The distribution system is preferably a microscale distribution system. Various particular mechanisms for controlling flow into a liquid distribution system are described.

Method of producing micro-electrical conduits

An electrical terminal applicator is provided for crimping terminals onto electrical wires. An applicator ram is movable mounted on an applicator frame and is drivable by a press ram through a working stroke towards, and a return stroke away from, a crimping anvil. A crimping die is mounted on the applicator ram for cooperation with the anvil to crimp a portion of a terminal onto a wire during each working stroke of the applicator ram. A pneumatic piston-and-cylinder device is mounted directly on the applicator frame adjacent the applicator ram and is connected to the crimping die for moving the crimping die through a first portion of movement into engagement with an uncrimped terminal to preposition the terminal for crimping thereof. The crimping die is mounted for limited movement on the applicator ram such that the piston-and-cylinder device can move the crimping die through the first portion of movement and the applicator ram thereafter can move the crimping die through a second portion of movement to effect crimping of the terminal. A magnet is mounted on the applicator ram and is releasably engageable with the crimping die for moving the die with the ram away from the crimping anvil on the return stroke of the applicator ram.

An electrical terminal applicator is provided for crimping terminals onto wires, the terminals being secured to a tape in a side-by-side relationship with their axes extending laterally of the tape. An applicator ram is drivable in a first path for moving a crimping die toward and away from a crimping anvil. A track guides the tape in a second path which generally intersects the first path of the ram. The track includes a platen and a guide plate which define a pair of opposing clamping jaws for engaging and gripping opposite surfaces of the tape and pulling the tape laterally of the second path thereof. The tape is moved relatively away from the crimping die when in crimping condition with the anvil and in engagement with a crimped terminal, to break the terminal away from the tape.

Electrical terminal applicators with improved terminal tape moving means

An electrical terminal applicator is disclosed for crimping terminals onto wires, with the terminals being secured to a tape in a side-by-side relationship. An applicator ram is drivable in a first path through a working stroke towards, and a return stroke away from, a crimping anvil. A crimping die on the applicator ram cooperates with the anvil to crimp a portion of a terminal onto a wire during each working stroke of the ram. A track guides the tape in a second path which intersects the first path of the ram. A tape feeding system includes a shuttle member adapted for linear reciprocal movement alongside the second path of the tape in an advancing stroke towards, and a return stroke away from, the crimping anvil. The shuttle member has at least one tooth for engaging indexing apertures in the tape and incrementally advancing the tape on the advancing stroke of the shuttle member. Fixed stop teeth engage the indexing apertures of the tape to prevent the tape from moving back away from the crimping anvil on the return stroke of the shuttle member. The stroke of the shuttle member is adjustable.

Electrical terminal applicator with improved terminal tape feed means

A connector delivery system delivers an electrical connector component from a storage container to a processing station regardless of the relative orientation of the storage container to the processing station. The storage container contains a plurality of the connector components. A delivery conduit communicates between the storage container and the processing station. An air jet is located within the delivery conduit for effecting a pressure differential therewithin to create a vacuum to cause movement of the connector components in the delivery conduit in a downstream direction from the storage container to the processing station without the use of gravitational forces. A selector pawl upstream of the air jet feeds the connector components through the delivery conduit one component at a time in an incremental fashion. An orientation track between the selector pawl and the air jet is effective to deliver the connector components in a predetermined orientation.
