A method and system for storing and updating RAID configuration information in a storage site separate from both the RAID controller and RAID disk drives is disclosed. The configuration information in the storage sites are compared and the configuration of the RAID system is automatically without user intervention. The method may be used in any computer or information handling system.

System and method for raid configuration

A method of responding to a thermal trip signal generated by a processor of a system having multiple processor nodes. If a processor overheats beyond a critical temperature, a temperature monitor receives the thermal trip signal, and turns off an enable signal to a voltage control module that control power to the processors. The temperature monitor also triggers a system reset. Upon reset, the temperature monitor ensures that all nodes, other than the node with the overheated processor, return to an operational state.

Multi-processor system recovery using THERMTRIP signal

A single-chassis clustered network system ( ) having internal connectors ( ) that eliminate the need for wiring out the back of the chassis. Each main board ( ) has a network interface card ( ), an internal connector ( ), an external connector ( ), and an autosense circuit ( ). The autosense circuit ( ) detects when the internal connectors ( ) are being used, and disables the external connectors ( ), or vice versa.
