A manufacturing process includes depositing a clad layer having a thickness greater than about 0.5 mm (0.02 in) on a surface of the component by hardfacing, and creating a heat affected zone directly below the clad layer due to the depositing. The heat affected zone may be a region of the component where a lowest hardness is lower than a base hardness of the component below the heat affected zone. The method may also include heat treating the component after the deposition such that the lowest hardness in the heat affected zone is restored to within about 15% of the base hardness of the component.

A track pin for a track chain assembly includes a body made from a steel alloy. The steel alloy has a composition comprising iron, a nitride-forming element, and silicon. The composition of the steel alloy comprises at least 0.5 percent by weight of silicon. The body includes an external nitrided surface.

A cored wire for hybrid laser cladding includes a hollow metal sheath and a core powder composition. The core powder can include, by weight percent: carbon from about 0.8% to about 1.2%, manganese from about 1% to about 1.4%, silicon from about 0.8% to about 1%, chromium from about 22% to about 30%, titanium from about 0.5% to about 2%, vanadium from about 0.5% to about 2%, boron from about 0.8% to about 1.2%, phosphorus from 0% to about 0.04%, and sulfur from 0% to about 0.03%, the balance of the core powder composition being substantially iron. Components and methods using the cored wire are also disclosed.

Disclosed are various exemplary embodiments of a track joint assembly. In one exemplary embodiment, the track joint assembly may include a first link having a first bore. The track joint assembly may also include a second link having a second bore. Additionally, the track joint assembly may include a pin positioned at least partially within the first bore. The track joint assembly may also include an inner bushing positioned coaxially around the pin, and at least partially within the second bore. In addition, the track joint assembly may include an outer bushing positioned coaxially around the inner bushing. The track joint assembly may also include a seal assembly positioned between the first link and the second link to form a hermetic seal between the first link and the second link.

Track joint assemblies

An track chain may comprise a first chain portion and a second chain portion each having a plurality of track links, and a plurality of joints interconnecting opposing track links of the first chain portion and the second chain portion. Each of the joints may include a bushing received by the opposing track links and the bushing may define a bore. Each of the joints may further include a pin received through the bore of the bushing, and the pin may have an outer diameter with at least one crowned region.

Disclosed are various exemplary embodiments of a track joint assembly. In one exemplary embodiment, the track joint assembly may include a first link having a first bore. The track joint assembly may also include a second link having a second bore. In addition, the track joint assembly may include a solid pin positioned at least partially within the first bore. The track joint assembly may also include a bushing positioned coaxially around the pin. The bushing may include an axial end portion disposed in the second bore. The second link may include a sealing portion surrounding an axial end of the axial end portion. The sealing portion may include material having a different wear resistance than material of another portion of the second link.

A precast concrete column supports a building. In one exemplary embodiment, the precast concrete column includes a connector for securing a wooden column to the precast concrete column such that no portion of the connector extends beyond the cross-section of the wooden column. In an alternative embodiment, a jack screw extends from the distal end of the precast concrete column to provide height adjustment for the precast concrete column. In certain embodiments, an insert or tube is cast into the precast concrete column body to allow a fastener to traverse the precast concrete column body so that structural components of the building may be secured thereto.

Disclosed are various exemplary embodiments of a track joint assembly. In one exemplary embodiment, the track joint assembly may include a first link having a first bore. The track joint assembly may also include a second link having a second bore including first and second portions. The first and second portions may have different diameters. In addition, the track joint assembly may include a solid pin positioned at least partially within the first bore. The track joint may also include a bushing positioned coaxially around the pin. The bushing may include an axial end portion disposed in and contacting the first portion of the second bore. The bushing may also include an axial end-adjacent portion disposed in and contacting the second portion of the second bore. An outer diameter of the end-adjacent portion may be larger than an outer diameter of the end portion.

A roller for a machine undercarriage may include a roller body constructed from a single, unitary piece of parent material. The roller may also include a first roller tread disposed between a first end of the roller body and a second end of the roller body. Additionally, the roller may include a second roller tread disposed between the first and second ends of the roller body.

An idler for a machine undercarriage includes a hub. The idler may also include a body extending radially outward from the hub, the body including a single solid disk with a first substantially planar side and a second substantially planar side opposite the first substantially planar side.

A track link has a link body. The link body of the track link may include a first substantially planar side surface, a second substantially planar side surface opposite the first substantially planar side surface, a shoe face extending between the first and second substantially planar side surfaces, and a roller rail extending between the first and second substantially planar side surfaces opposite the shoe face.

A link assembly for an endless track may include a first track link with shoe-mounting structure configured to allow attachment of a track shoe, the first track link having substantially planar sides. The link assembly may also include a second track link with shoe-mounting structure configured to allow attachment of a track shoe, the second track link having substantially planar sides. Additionally, the link assembly may include a third track link with shoe-mounting structure configured to allow attachment of a track shoe, the third track link having substantially planar sides, the third track link being pivotally connected to the first track link at a first pivot joint, and the third track link being pivotally connected to the second track link at a second pivot joint.

An undercarriage assembly includes a link assembly, including a plurality of laterally spaced pairs of track links pivotally connected to one another at pivot joints to form an endless chain. The assembly may also include an idler, the idler including a solid disk with substantially planar sides and an outer tread surface engaging an inner portion of the endless chain.
