An LED lighting device is disclosed. The example LED lighting device includes a first LED circuit having at least two LEDs connected in series and a second LED circuit having at least two LEDs connected in series. The LED lighting device also includes a switch having user selectable positions for providing user control to change a brightness of light that is emitted by the LED lighting device by individually selecting the first LED circuit and the second LED circuit.

Multi-voltage and multi-brightness LED lighting devices and methods of using same

An LED lighting device is disclosed. The LED lighting device includes a first LED circuit and at least one additional LED circuit. The first LED circuit and the at least one additional LED circuit each include LEDs connected in series. The LEDs in the first LED circuit emit a different color of light than the LEDs in the at least one additional LED circuit. The LED lighting device also includes a switch configured to be actuated by an end user and provide the end user with a means to produce a change in brightness of at least one of the first LED circuit or the at least one additional LED circuit, and switch at least one of the first LED circuit and the at least one additional LED circuit on or off.

LED circuits and assemblies

A lighting device is disclosed. The example lighting device includes a printed circuit board. First and second LED circuits and respective first and second driver circuit are mounted on the printed circuit board. The first LED circuit is configured to emit a first color temperature of white light when receiving power from the first driver circuit and the second LED circuit is configured to emit a second color temperature of white light when receiving the power from the second driver circuit. The second color temperature of white light emitted from the second LED circuit is different than the first color temperature of white light emitted from the first LED circuit.

Light emitting diode and LED drive apparatus

An LED lighting device is disclosed. The example LED lighting device includes a first LED circuit having at least two phosphor coated LEDs connected in series and at least one additional LED circuit having at least two phosphor coated LEDs connected in series. The LED lighting device also includes a switch having user selectable positions for providing user control to select DC voltage level options to change a DC voltage level that is delivered to at least one of the first LED circuit or the at least one additional LED circuit. One user selectable position decreases a brightness level individually of the first LED circuit and the at least one additional LED circuit. Another user selectable position individually disconnects the first LED circuit and the at least one additional LED circuit from a mains power source.

A lighting device is disclosed. An example lighting device includes at least one light emitting diode ('LED') circuit having a plurality of LEDs, where the plurality of LEDs includes the same or differently colored LEDs. The lighting device also includes a driver including at least one bridge rectifier, a housing including a reflective material or coating, and a power source adapter. The driver receives an AC voltage from the power source adaptor and provides an output voltage to the at least one LED circuit. The lighting device also includes a circuit configured to electrically decouple the driver after detecting the output voltage of the driver is outside a predetermined voltage range.

LED lighting system

An LED lighting device is disclosed. The example LED lighting device includes at least one LED circuit having at least two LEDs, where an LED of the at least two LEDs is configured to emit a different color temperature of white light than at least one other LED of the at least two LEDs. The example LED lighting device also includes a switch directly connected to the at least one LED circuit and configured to be manually switched by a user to change the color temperature of white light that is emitted from the at least one LED circuit. Switching the switch changes the color temperature of light emitted from the at least one LED circuit by dimming or increasing a brightness of the LED that is configured to emit the different color temperature of white light than the at least one other LED of the at least two LEDs.

Color temperature controlled and low THD LED lighting devices and systems and methods of driving the same

An LED lighting device is disclosed. The LED lighting device includes a first LED circuit and at least one additional LED circuit. The first LED circuit and the at least one additional LED circuit include at least two phosphor coated discretely packaged LEDs connected in series. The phosphor coated discretely packaged LEDs in the first LED circuit emit a different color of light than the phosphor coated discretely packaged LEDs in the at least one additional LED circuit. The LED lighting device also includes a switch configured to be actuated by an end user and provide the end user with a means to produce a change in brightness of at least one of the first LED circuit or the at least one additional LED circuit, or switch at least one of the first LED circuit and the at least one additional LED circuit on or off.

A lighting system is disclosed. An example lighting system includes at least one light emitting diode ('LED') circuit having a plurality of LEDs, where the plurality of LEDs includes the same or differently colored LEDs. The lighting system also includes a driver including at least one bridge rectifier and at least one capacitor, a housing including a heat sinking material, and at least two connectors. One of the at least two connectors is adaptable to be connected to the driver and another one of the at least two connectors is adaptable to be connected to an AC power source. The driver is configured to receive an AC voltage from the AC power source and provide a voltage and a current to the at least one LED circuit. Additionally, the driver and the at least one LED circuit are mounted to the housing.

A lighting system is disclosed. The example lighting system includes a printed circuit board. At least one LED circuit and a driver circuit are mounted on the printed circuit board. The at least one LED circuit has a plurality of phosphor coated LEDs. The driver circuit includes at least one bridge rectifier and at least one capacitor. The lighting system also includes a housing including a lens. The lighting system further includes a first power connection lead connected to a first input of the bridge rectifier and a second power connection lead connected to a second input of the bridge rectifier. At least a first portion of each power connection lead is contained within the housing and at least a second portion of each power connection lead extends beyond the housing to enable the printed circuit board to be connected to an AC power source.

AC light emitting diode and AC LED drive methods and apparatus

A lighting system is disclosed. The example lighting system includes a plurality of LED lighting devices, where at least one of the LED lighting devices includes a same or different colored LED than a LED in at least one of the other LED lighting devices. The lighting system also includes a plurality of data communication circuits, where at least one of the data communication circuits is configured to transmit data signals to or receive data signals from at least one telecommunications device that comprises a circuit configured to detect human touch via capacitive sensing. The at least one data communication circuit is integrated in at least one of the LED lighting devices of the plurality of LED lighting devices. Additionally, the at least one telecommunication device is configured to control a brightness level of at least one of the LED lighting devices via the at least one data communication circuit.

High frequency multi-voltage and multi-brightness LED lighting devices

An LED lighting device is disclosed. The LED lighting device includes an LED circuit having at least two LEDs that are mounted on a substrate and separated from each other by a distance of 3 millimeters or less. At least one of the at least two LEDs includes a different phosphor coating than that of at least one other LED of the at least two LEDs. The LED lighting device also includes a switch selectable by an end user to enable a change in a color of light emitted from the LED lighting device by causing one of at least a change in brightness or turning 'on' or 'off' the at least one LED with the different phosphor coating of the at least two LEDs in the LED circuit. The substrate and the switch are integrated within the LED lighting device.

An LED lighting system is disclosed. The example LED lighting system includes a first LED circuit and a second LED circuit. The second LED circuit is configured to emit a different color light compared to the first LED circuit. The LED lighting system also includes a switch capable of at least one of switching a voltage level input to at least one of the first LED circuit or the second LED circuit, or switching the second LED circuit 'on' or 'off'. The LED lighting system further includes an LED driver connected to an AC voltage power source. The LED driver is configured to provide a DC voltage output to at least one of the first LED circuit or the second LED circuit. The switch is electrically connected between the DC voltage output and at least one of the first LED circuit or the second LED circuit.

An LED lighting device is disclosed. The example LED lighting device includes at least one LED circuit having at least two LEDs, where an LED of the at least two LEDs is configured to emit light of a different color temperature or wavelength than at least one other LED of the at least two LEDs. The example LED lighting device also includes a switch connected to the at least one LED circuit and configured to dim at least one of the LEDs of the at least two LEDs that are configured to emit light of the different color temperature or wavelength to enable user selection of different color temperatures or wavelengths of light to be emitted by the at least one LED circuit. The at least one LED circuit and the switch are integrated into the LED lighting device.

An LED device for use with an AC voltage power source configured such that at least one LED emits light during a positive phase of power provided from an AC power supply and at least one LED emits light during the negative phase of power provided from an AC power supply. The LED device includes a first power connection lead and a second power connection lead, both leads capable of being connected to and receiving power from an AC power supply.

AC light emitting diode and AC led drive methods and apparatus

An LED lighting system is disclosed. In an example, an LED lighting system includes at least one lighting device, at least one driver, an LED circuit, and a switch. The driver has at least one bridge rectifier. The driver has a first voltage input from a mains power source and provides a second lower voltage output to the at least one lighting device. The LED circuit has two or more LEDs integrated in the at least one lighting device. The switch is integrated in the at least one lighting device and controllable by an end user. Additionally, the lighting device is configured to provide multiple brightness levels and/or color levels in response to control of the switch by the end user.
