One embodiment is an adhesive bandage with an opening in the middle in which the wound is exposed after the bandage is applied to the skin. A removable cap is fastened on the bandage with hook-and-loop material to cover the opening and thereby protect the wound. Another embodiment has a base panel with a transverse strip of hook-and-loop fastener material at one edge, and strips of hook-and-loop fastener material extending from the other end to wrap around a wounded body part and connect to the transverse strip and forms an opening which frames the wound. A removable cap is fastened over the opening with hook-and-loop-fastener material fastened to the extending strips.

The present invention relates to chromatography column for process scale high performance purification, which has high stability and structural integrity regardless of the internal diameter or operating pressures. The chromatography column according to the present invention includes a sealing arrangement which enables the production of internally leak proof chromatography columns having large internal diameters at relatively low cost. The present invention also relates to the seal for the chromatography column.

A brake light incorporated in a side view mirror housing is disclosed. The brake light may be fixedly attached to the housing and viewable from the rear of the vehicle. Brake lights which move from a stored position within said mirror housing to an in use position exterior of said housing are also disclosed. The further the brake light portion is from the vehicle the more viewable it will be from the rear of the vehicle.

An opto-electronic, key-operated lock device means which provides a connection for one or more opto-electric circuits (control circuits employing light and logic for control of electrical circuits) as an incident to the insertion and operation therein of the proper key. The proper key is encoded for completion of predetermined light paths to photosensors coupled to decoder logic circuits for establishment and disestablishment of the opto-electrical circuits coincident with the use of the proper key.

A seat belt buckle means which provides a connection for one or more opto-electric circuits (control circuits employing light for control of electrical circuits) as an incident to the establishing of the mechanical supporting connection of the buckle means, the respective portions of the opto-electrical connection being respectively operatively aligned with the buckle member components which establish the mechanical supporting connection, thus providing that the opto-electrical connectors are operatively engageable with one another whenever but only whenever the mechanically-acting buckle member components are operatively engaged, and thus correspondingly assuring that establishment and dis-establishment of the opto-electrical circuitry will be coincident with the establishment and dis-establishment of the mechanical supporting connection of the buckle means, in an arrangement in which the thief-resistant starter switch is provided as a part carried on one of the seat buckle components.
