A head restraint device for improving quality of sleep inside passenger carriers includes a seat attachment assembly and a head restraint assembly including two elastic straps that are attached to the seat strap of the attachment assembly. The restraint assembly includes two adjusters coupled to the two elastic straps respectively, two head straps adjustably attached to the two adjusters, a face strap permanently attached to one head strap and attached to the other head strap via a loop and hook fastener. The two adjusters allow the face strap placed at center and the device to fit heads of different sizes. The face strap of bigger width provides better eye coverage and comfort. The restraint assembly restrains the movement of a head while the elastic straps absorb head motion and keep the passenger sleeping. The attachment assembly includes an adjuster for tightly attaching the device to a seat back or headrest.

Head restraint apparatus

A 9-volt battery mounted flashlight including a lower housing fixedly mounted on the battery and an upper housing carrying an LED that pivots or rocks on the lower housing to turn the flashlight on and off. The upper housing has a pair of integral pivot bosses that mount in horizontal pivot bores in the lower housing so the upper housing rocks between on and off positions.

A shoulder-carriable wheeled cart assembly includes a cart frame, a detachable backpack mountable on the cart frame, a plurality of laterally spaced support pegs mounted on the cart frame lower end portion, and a detachable harness strap. The harness strap is tightenable about articles mounted on the support pegs between the harness strap and the cart frame to secure said articles against the cart frame. A support tray attachable to the support pegs and interposable between the articles and the support pegs stabilizes the mounting of the articles on the support pegs. The cart assembly is mountable on a mobile passenger vehicle, such as a bicycle, via a docking fixture that receives and secures the cart assembly. A retraction cord connected to the harness strap upper end urges the harness strap upper end toward the upper portion of the frame, thereby avoiding dragging the harness strap along the ground.

Multi-domain, phase-compensated, differential-coherence detection of photonic signals for interferometric processes and devices may be manufactured holographically and developed in situ or with an automatic registration between holograms and photonic sources in a single frame. Photonic or electronic post processing may include outputs from a cycling or rotation between differently phased complementary outputs of constructive and destructive interference. A hyper-selective, direct-conversion, expanded-bandpass filter may rely on an expanded bandpass for ease of filtering, with no dead zones for zero beat frequency cases. A hyper-heterodyning, expanded bandpass system may also provide improved filtering and signal-to-noise ratios. An ultra-high-resolution, broadband spectrum analyzer may operate in multiple domains, including complex &ldquo;fingerprints&rdquo; of phase, frequency, and other parameters. The associated technologies of the invention may be used to produce extreme precision in multi-domain locking of sophisticated waveforms varying in several domains.

Hyper-heterodyning, expanded bandpass apparatus and method

A human body sail assembly including a rotatable mast with upper and lower horizontal sail braces or booms that swing with the mast. The sail is tensioned by the braces and can be locked in a desired angular position by user-operated frusto-conical mating gearing coaxial with the mast. The braces can separate from the mast for safety if the user falls, and the sail can be collapsed in a compact envelope by swinging the braces toward one another adjacent the skater's back. The braces are identical and removably mounted in pivot assemblies carried by the mast so different length braces can be used with the same pivot assemblies. The pivot assemblies are defined by a large disc member carried by the mast and a brace socket with spaced circular plates indexably engaging the sides of the disc.

An in-line skate wheel assembly for a skate mounted speedometer or odometer that includes a signal processor and display housing mounted on the skate toe with a sensor mounted under the toe very close to the forward wheel. A field producing sensing element is fixed in the elastomeric portion of the forward wheel where it passes in close proximity to the sensor as the wheel rotates. The display housing is connected to the sensor by a flat conductor and the three are quickly removable as a unit from the skate.

An improved tamper resistant combination lock with large planar easy to shift blocking slides with spring fingers that fool the lock picker into believing all three positions of the slides are blocking positions, rather than passing positions. The slides block or pass spaced spheroidal obstructions on a plunger. A small bifurcated clip prevents the complete removal of the plunger when all blocking slides are in the pass position. In one embodiment the lock is a padlock-type with a 'U' shaped shackle that lies in a common plane with the slides to reduce lock size.

A tamper resistant combination lock including a housing having a through bore receiving a locking plunger with a plurality of integral-spaced obstructions thereon, the housing having a plurality of transverse slots each receiving one of two identical blocking slides that snap between three distinct positions, one passing the obstructions and plunger, and two blocking the obstructions and plunger. Lock picking is minimized by flexible fingers in the slides that engage the plunger obstructions when the slides are in the plunger passing position to simulate the slide blocking positions as the lock picker tugs the plunger.

A tamper resistant trigger blocking device for weapons having a trigger guard featuring a pair of blocking members that cover the opposite sides of the trigger guard preventing entry into the trigger area. The two blocking members are clamped together by a pair of oppositely disposed combination locks each of which has a plunger in the other blocking member that is grasped by the combination locks. Movement of the blocking members in the plane of the trigger guard is minimized by a plurality of indexible rods in one of the blocking members that are engageable with both sides of the trigger guard to prevent that movement. The user adjusts the positions of these rods to fit the user's trigger guard size and shape.
