Electrosurgical instruments and associated methods are provided. An electrosurgical instrument may include one or more light emitters that comprise a light source in operative communication with a power supply supportably interconnected to a handle portion. The instrument may have a toggle member with one or more selectable positions that may selectively activate any of one or more operational states of an electrosurgical electrode comprising the instrument. The toggle member may selectively activate the light emitter(s) provided on the instrument alone and/or in conjunction with the activation of one or more operational state. The handle portion may include an elastomeric handle portion that extends continuously along the handle portion and over the toggle member to seal the handle portion.

Flexlock non-textile fabrics use intimately linked elements that are formed from formable, preferably solid phase forgeable materials into generally triangular shapes with hinging connection features along edges of a generally triangular overall shape. These hinging connection portions permit other elements to rotate about axes that intersect at intersections. Buttressing portions are located near these intersections and include cylindrical or conical shapes that abut the buttressing portions of adjacent formed elements. This abutting can occur even when adjacent elements are rotated or twisted out of a common plane. Connection portions include direct formed engagements with knuckles of the other elements. These connection portions and the engaged knuckles can include headed pintles, axles, or oppositely facing conical protrusions, and may be configured to permit the non-textile fabric to bend on itself within its own thickness without undue strain on the connection features.

The invention relates to hard sided luggage shells and other containers manufactured using vacuum forming or pressure forming of thermoplastics. A process for making shells and containers with integrally molded frames is disclosed, and products made by the method. A method of manufacturing differential pressure formed containers with framed openings, but without the need to attach a separate frame element to the molded shell. A process also is disclosed for reducing the undesirable stretching of shell material that occurs during differential pressure forming, particularly the thinning of corner portions of the shell or container. The process of the invention more efficiently utilizes the thermoplastic material by moving material from otherwise offal portions into the molded product. An improved method for severing the offal material from the final product is disclosed.

The invention relates to hard sided luggage shells and other containers manufactured using vacuum forming or pressure forming of thermoplastics. Shells and containers with integrally molded frames are disclosed. The differential pressure formed shell containers have framed openings, but without the need to attach a separate frame element to the molded shell.

A suturing device includes a rod partially covered by an elongate tube. A guide containing a one way slot is mounted to an end of the rod; a similar guide is mounted to the same end of the tube. The rod and tube may be rotated with respect to each other by manipulating an attached handle. A suturing needle with suture material attached may be fitted into a slot in one of the guides. Rotating the guides allows the needle to be passed between the needle guides, and the one way slot action allows the needle to be separated from one of the guides, so that the needle may passed around the device in an approximate circle. The device may be moved longitudinally as the needle is passed between the needle guides to form a series of stitches.

The invention relates to an apparatus for making hard sided luggage shells and other containers by vacuum forming or pressure forming thermoplastics. An apparatus for making shells and containers with integrally molded frames is disclosed. A slanted main strut about six feet long is supported by a base having rollers. The top of the slanted main strut allows the base to be rocked back on its rollers for ground transport. Vertical grooves in the slanted main strut support slidable braces. Each brace supports a chosen equipment holder including a golf bag ring, a ski brace, a bicycle support bar, a ball container, and a boot tray.

A bipolar electrosurgical instrument for use in laparoscopic surgery or other minimally invasive internal surgical procedures is disclosed. In one embodiment, a bipolar electrosurgical apparatus (10) is provided which is suitable for laparoscopic applications. The apparatus (10) comprises an active electrode (18) and a current return electrode shoe (34). A spring (44) or other resilient member urges the shoe (34) into tissue contact when the active electrode (18) is positioned for surgery. In another embodiment, an axially retractable active electrode (90) is used to grip tissue and draw the tissue back to a passive electrode (92) The apparatus of the present invention is capable of functioning in cutting, coagulation and desiccation modes.

A line holding storage device is provided for storing or displaying articles on a line in random locations along the line. The line holding storage device comprises a support housing having a first side and a second side. A channel is formed in the first side of the support housing and receives the line. A securing mechanism is positioned on the first side of the support housing and cooperates with the channel for releasably securing the line holding storage device to the line. A catch mechanism is mounted on the support housing to receive and hold articles which are to be stored or displayed with the catch mechanism being positioned such that the mass of the held article cooperates with the securing mechanism to augment the securement of the line holding storage device to the line.
