A hollow axle motor assembly () includes an armature () and a hollow axle () attached to the armature (). The hollow axle () has an outer diameter () and an inner diameter (). Drive mechanism

The invention relates to a drive unit for a safety belt tensioner which has a drive which can be triggered on the response of an acceleration sensor and which can be rotationally fixedly coupled to the belt winding reel. The drive is located in a drive chamber which is formed by two plates, which extend parallel to one another and which are provided with a coating material, and which has a drive band of which at least one end is fastened to a drive shaft.

A safety belt arrangement for a motor vehicle. The arrangement includes a belt deflection device. The belt deflection device is arranged above the shoulder of the passenger to be held by the safety belt. The belt deflection device is mounted to a carrier attached to the vehicle body. The belt deflection device includes an upper reversal member, which deflects the belt downwards, and a deflection member arranged below the reversal member. The deflection member being vertically adjustably secured to a rail mounted to the carrier. The deflection member deflects the belt from an at least substantially vertical direction to a direction toward the shoulder of the passenger which deviates significantly from the vertical.

A braking actuator for an ergonomic support is connected thereto by a Bowden cable. The actuator has a housing with pin slots, friction surfaces and a mount for a disk axle. A disk has frictional surfaces, holes with pin load edges, a Bowden cable wire seat that holds the Bowden cable end and an axle that is supported by the mount in the housing. The friction surfaces of the disk and housing engage each other to brake the actuator and the ergonomic support. A lever having pins is disposed on the housing such that the pins extend through the pin slots to engage the holes in the disk. Turning the lever disengages the friction surfaces and rotates the disk, thereby moving the ergonomic support. Releasing the lever engages the frictional surfaces such that movement of the ergonomic support is braked at a selected position.

A variable lumbar support has a support assembly mountable on a seat frame, a pressure element engaged with the support assembly to move in relation to it in a first direction and a second direction. The directions are substantially parallel and opposite and usually vertical. A first traction element engaged with the support assembly and the pressure element moves the pressure element in the first direction and a second traction element engaged with the support assembly and with the pressure element moves the pressure element in the second direction. At least one actuator engaged with the traction elements causes the movement.

A safety belt apparatus for vehicles, in particular motor vehicles having at least one safety belt, which is wound to a greater or lesser degree onto a belt reel rotatably secured on the vehicle chassis about an axis of rotation and preferably biased by a spring retraction mechanism. A toothed ratchet wheel is rotationally coupled to the belt reel and cooperating with a blocking pawl secured to the housing. The blocking pawl is movable into and out of engagement with respect to the toothed ratchet wheel by a cam ring concentric to the belt reel axis via a step down transmission. A toothed control wheel is connected to the belt reel via an eccentric transmission and has at its periphery a preferably wavelike arrangement of teeth which is surrounded by an inner toothed ring fixed to the housing of larger diameter and with complementary, but with a smaller or preferably larger number of teeth. As a results, the toothed control wheel stands in meshing arrangement with the inner toothed ring over a restricted peripheral region and diametrically opposite thereto. The two arrangements of teeth have a radial spacing such that the toothed control wheel rolls off on the inner toothed ring on rotation of the belt reel. The total draw out length of the safety belt corresponds to an angle of rotation of the toothed control wheel relative to the axis of rotation of substantially 180&deg;. The toothed control wheel is rotationally fixedly connected to the cam ring, but radially displaceable in the context of its eccentric movement. The cam ring has a switching means along a first angular region for the engagement and disengagement of the blocking pawl and at least one switching element along a second angular region for at least one further belt draw out dependent switching operation.

Safety belt apparatus for vehicles

A safety belt arrangement for motor vehicles. The arrangement includes a safety belt and a belt roller from which the belt is retracted and withdrawn. The safety belt arrangement also includes a belt deflection apparatus that includes a deflection member. The belt is guided from the belt roller to the deflection member so that the belt can be deflected as it approaches the passenger. The deflection member moves away from the passenger in the case of an accident due to a force applied by a spring. Normally, the deflection member is retracted against the spring force by a retainer mechanism. The retainer mechanism releases the deflection member in the event of an accident. The resulting tensile force applied to the belt moves the passenger back into the normal seated position.

A roller guide assembly for a safety belt comprising a holder which can be secured to a vehicle part and which journals a guide roller between two bearings. In this, the bearings are formed resiliently. The invention prevents the bearings from prematurely wearing and avoids many of the high stress to which bearings in other roller guides are subjected.
