A high-temperature cable and method of making the same is provided. The high-temperature cable includes at least one elongated conductor portion. A fiber-reinforced resin is positioned radially about at least a portion of an exterior surface of the at least one elongated conductor portion. The high-temperature may optionally include a thin metal layer and/or an armor shell.

Method of making a high-temperature cable having a fiber-reinforced rein layer

A high-temperature cable and a method of making the same is provided. The high-temperature cable includes at least one conductor. An inorganic tape is wrapped around the at least one conductor. An armor shell is applied exterior of the inorganic tape.

High-temperature cable having inorganic material

A fire resistant electrical cable includes a conductor. Substantially applied around the conductor is an inorganic braid. A ceramifiable polymer is substantially applied over the jacket. The fire resistant electrical cable also includes a retaining jacket substantially applied over the ceramifiable polymer. Multiple fire resistant electrical cables may be combined within a single grouping jacket to provide multi-phase conductance.

Fire resistant cable

The fire resistant electrical cable splice joins two electrical cables. The two electrical cables are joined by at least one connection. The connection is formed between at least two conductors, at least one conductor from each of the electrical cables. The connection connects the conductors mechanically and electrically. An insulating polymer, which is electrically nonconductive at temperatures normally associated with the presence of a fire, is substantially applied over the connection. The insulating polymer may be a ceramifiable silicone rubber.
