A female coupling device includes: a main body, and a clip member coupled to the main body, the clip member having a plurality of arms extending perpendicularly therefrom, with the plurality of arms forming at least one pair of arms, with the pair of arms including a first distance therebetween and a second distance therebetween, with the first distance being sized to engage a clip groove of a mating male coupling device, and with the second distance being sized to disengage the mating male coupling device. In a locked position, the pair of arms is positioned so that the first distance is adjacent to the mating male coupling device. In an unlocked position, the pair of arms is positioned so that the second distance is adjacent to the mating male coupling device.

A motorized latch assembly includes an electric motor, an eccentric cam attached via gears to a shaft of the motor and a latch plate configured to lock the reagent cartridge to the coupler. The eccentric cam is rotated when the shaft of the motor rotates. When the eccentric cam is rotated so that the eccentric cam presses down upon the latch plate, the latch plate moves a sufficient distance to permit the reagent cartridge to be disconnected from the coupler.

Fluid and electrical coupling

A poppet valve member includes a main body, and a cover portion disposed at the first end of the valve member. The cover portion is removable from the main body, the cover portion including a first seal disposed about an outer perimeter of the cover portion. The valve member includes a head portion disposed proximate the first end and behind the cover portion, the head portion including a second seal disposed about an outer perimeter defined by the head portion. A webbing portion is disposed between the cover portion and the head portion, the webbing portion including a fault structure to enable the cover portion to be removed from the main body and broken off from the head portion. The main body is formed of a molded material, and the first and second seals are formed of an overmold material molded onto the main body.

A coupler can include a main body including a first end and a second end, and a flow passage between the first and second ends to allow fluid flow therethrough. The coupler can also include a frame member, and a radio frequency identification tag coupled to the frame member. The frame member is configured to be molded into the main body so that the radio frequency identification tag is incorporated into the main body.

A closure device used in a fluid dispensing assembly. The closure device contains a housing, a poppet member, and a biasing member. The closure device provides a retaining structure for stabilizing and aligning the poppet member and biasing member within the housing.

A coupling apparatus for fluid dispensing with a disposable connector on the fluid line or fluid dispensing system side. The coupling apparatus includes an insert body that is connectable with a disposable connector device. The insert body includes a recess area defined between a first inner sidewall and a second inner sidewall. The second inner sidewall extends coaxially with the first inner sidewall, and has an aperture defining an opening through a first and second end. The connector device includes a connector body connected with an adapter portion. The connector body includes a beveled end that is insertable through the aperture of the second inner sidewall. The adapter portion is disposed proximate and extends past the beveled end, where the beveled end is recessed within the adapter portion. An insertion space is defined between the beveled end and an outer wall defined by the adapter portion. The adapter portion is insertable into the recess area and the insertion space is receivable of the second inner sidewall.

A fluid dispensing assembly for fluid dispensing and fluid transmission from a fluid source. The fluid dispensing assembly alone may dispense from a fluid source, or may be connected to a fluid dispensing system. The fluid dispensing assembly has a closure connected to a coupler. The closure includes fill through capabilities. The coupler is provided with a locking feature for preserving proper orientation and a closed position before being coupled to a piece of fluid dispensing equipment.

A fluid coupling valve assembly includes a coupler connected with a closure. The closure includes a closure valve rotatably connected with a closure body. The closure valve is actuatable to open/close the closure to allow/prevent fluid dispensing. The coupler is connected to the closure to transmit fluids to a fluid system.

A system for minimizing the effects of shock and vibration in a high speed vessel with an inner hull and an outer hull. It is a system of dampers, springs and stabilizer linkages in a high speed vessel that control the relative motion of an inner hull to an outer hull, thereby minimizing the effects of shock and vibration in the inner hull. Leaf spring assemblies may be used or as a substitute, torsion rod assemblies may be used, both in combination with dampers such as shock absorbers.

System for minimizing the effects of shock and vibration in a high speed vessel

A floating mounting structure is provided for protectively mounting an electronic circuitry system within an automated external defibrillator case. A method of assembling an electronic circuitry system within an automated external defibrillator case is also provided. A circuit mounting system is utilized and includes a spacer and a shock mount. The spacer may include cut out portions to accommodate raised elements on circuit boards of the electronic circuitry system. The spacer is disposed between two circuit boards which may be affixed to each other. The affixed circuit boards and spacer are folded within the shock mount and disposed within the defibrillator case. Alternatively, a single mounting structure may be used to secure and protect the circuit board within the defibrillator case. A shielding may be present on an exterior surface of the foam mounting structures to protect the electronic circuitry from electromagnetic interference.

Circuit mounting system for automated external defibrillator circuits

An automated external defibrillator (AED) having a housing and an openable lid with a water resistant speaker port formed in the housing below the openable lid. A water resistant fabric is attached underneath the speaker port to resist water passing into the interior of the AED while allowing clear sound output from the speaker located beneath the speaker port. A microphone is positioned adjacent to the speaker port in the AED for recording emergency scene ambient activities. This position uses the existing water resistant opening thereby taking advantage of the good sound transmitting properties of the opening for recording purposes and at the same time eliminating the need for an additional cavity in the housing where water could ingress. Positioning the microphone near the speaker also eliminates the need for an additional wiring harness.
