Radiation-control sheet materials are disclosed, these materials including a transparent support material, an infrared radiation-reflecting layer and a protective polymeric layer therefor substantially transmissive of infrared radiation and having therein or in a layer contiguous thereto an adhesion-promoting isocyanate. The protective polymer layer provides anti-abrasion and anti-corrosion protection and is effectively bonded by the adhesion-promoting isocyanate.

This invention is directed to a film unit composed of a support carrying on one side a processing composition permeable layer containing an acid reacting reagent therein, and, on the other side, silver precipitating nuclei and photosensitive silver halide crystals. The above film unit is particularly suitable for use as motion picture film, i.e., in the form of an elongated web wherein said film unit is unwound, exposed, contacted with a photographic processing composition containing, e.g., a silver halide developing agent and silver halide solvent, rolling said film unit upon itself thereby contacting the processing composition permeable layer with the layers on the opposite side of the support. The acid reacting agent will diffuse into the silver halide and nuclei containing layers providing enhanced stability to the film unit. In a preferred embodiment, the film unit of the present invention includes an additive color screen intermediate the support and the silver precipitating nuclei and photosensitive silver halide crystals.

Photographic products and processes employing roll film with acid

A photographic sound recording and reproduction method is disclosed wherein a sound track is formed by silver diffusion transfer processing. Film units suitable for this application are described which comprise a support, a layer containing silver precipitating nuclei, and a layer containing photosensitive silver halide crystals. In one embodiment, a photographic sound track may be produced in a silver diffusion transfer color motion picture film unit, which further comprises an optical color screen.

Photographic sound reproduction using silver diffusion transfer

Transparent elements useful as supports for photographic image-carrying and/or image-recording layers are provided comprising a polymeric film base having an anti-reflection coating on one surface. Image-carrying and/or image-recording layers may be coated on the opposed surface. Such transparent supports are particularly useful in photographic products wherein the final image is formed by multicolor diffusion transfer processes using dye developers or other image dye-providing materials. In the preferred embodiments, the photographic image is an integral negative-positive reflection print. Where photoexposure is effected through a transparent support, e.g., the transparent support through which the final image is viewed, provision of an anti-reflection coating on said support and effecting photo-exposure therethrough will permit more effective recording of light passing through the camera lens. The polymeric film base of the transparent element has an index of refraction of at least 1.6, and the anti-reflection coating comprises a fluorinated polymer and has an optical thickness of a quarter wave. More uniform anti-reflection coatings are obtained by including a polydimethyl siloxane in the fluorinated polymer coating solution.
