An interpersonal development communications system and directory that determines a participant's motivators and values in view of a requester's motivators and values and automatically provides recommended guidance for the requester to manage and communicate effectively with participants who are subordinates, peers and superiors in an organization. A participant logs on to an Internet-based interpersonal development communications system server, or an intranet of his firm or company, and takes the Kinsel-Hartman Profile which includes four or five lists of 18 statements each. The participant ranks all 18 statements in each list, which in turn are used to create an individual profile report. This report presents the participant's blended scores of his thinking, combining his bias and capacities concerning each dimension of value. The interpersonal development communications application ranks those thinking orientations that serve as motivators into an ordered list that determines an interpersonal development profile summary describing how to deal with and manage another member of the organization. The requestor's profile results are compared with each member and integrated with the profile summary of each member to provide unique guidance on communicating with peers, subordinates and superiors in view of the requester's motivations and values.

Interpersonal development communications system and directory

A personalized training and development methodology that determines an individual's strengths and weaknesses and automatically provides training and development exercises that focus on reinforcing an individual's strengths and modifying his behavioral weaknesses. An individual logs on to the Internet personalized training and development training website, or an Intranet of his firm or company, and takes the Kinsel-Hartman Profile which includes four or five lists of 18 statements each. Each of the 18 statements in each list of the profile are formal representations of value combinations. An individual ranks all 18 statements in each list which in turn are used to create a profile report. This report presents the person's blended scores of his thinking, combining his bias and capacities concerning each dimension of value. The report also gives a composite of his world thinking and one of his self thinking where all three dimensional orientations are put together into an overview of his perspective. The application software ranks those thinking orientations that serve as strengths and those that serve as weaknesses into an order that determines which training and development reminders are sent to the person and in which particular order. The application software then schedules the sending of those training and development reminders on a periodic basis.

Personal training and development delivery system

An Electrodeless High Intensity Discharge (EHID) lamp for projection applications. The lamp has a small (nominal dimensions: 2 mm I.D., 3 mm O.D., 6 mm internal length) capsule, which is constricted in a mid-portion thereof. The constriction squeezes the plasma within the capsule and provides a higher power density. This in turn produces a higher luminance in the center of the arc. This focal point of the projection system is constant over the life of the lamp, owing to the fact that the system is electrodeless. The arc tube or capsule is thickened in the vicinity of the constriction to permit heat transfer through the vitreous silica (commonly called quartz). The thickening carries the heat away from the now hotter mid-portion area. This thickening cools by virtue of increasing the thermal conduction through the glass.

High luminance electrodeless projection lamp

A C-clamp with integral bubble levels comprising a C-clamp which has a horizontal portion with two generally parallel vertical portions extending perpendicularly from the ends of the horizontal portion. The first vertical portion is formed with a threaded circular aperture with the axis of which is parallel with the horizontal portion. The second of the vertical portions is provided with a planar surface perpendicular to the axis of the aperture. A rod with exterior threads extends through the aperture and is rotatably coupled thereto whereby rotation of the rod will effect its axial movement. The end of the rod between the vertical portions is provided with a planar surface parallel with the planar surface of the first vertical portion. A planar surface is formed on the horizontal portion on the side thereof remote from the vertical portions. A bubble level is removedly secured to the planar surface.

An electromagnetic discharge apparatus including a solid state supply or lamp ballast for energizing an electrodeless high intensity discharge (HID) lamp in a dual-ended fashion. A low power signal from a high frequency oscillator is split into two separate signals with definite phase relationship which are coupled to separate power amplifiers. In one embodiment, the signal from the high frequency oscillator is mixed with a signal from a modulation oscillator to AM, FM or pulse-width (PWM) modulate the power delivered to the lamp. This technique permits better control over the balance of power delivered to the ends of the lamp.

Suspendable, thermally insulated jacket for I.V. fluid bags

A suspendable, thermally insulating jacket for I.V. fluid bags. The jacket comprises a sheet of thermally insulating material enclosing the bag as it is applied in sick room use. A bag support hook and straps on the jacket support the I.V. bag within the sheet when the latter is in its bag-enclosing condition. A jacket support loop on the jacket support it on the I.V. pole or other support in the sick room. The jacket accordingly provides for maintaining the fluid contents of the I.V. bag at the desired temperature as they are administered to the patient.

A re-entrant, low-pressure, electrodeless lamp apparatus includes two identical re-entrant center conductors driven in quadrature, resulting in a matched lamp input impedance in both the off and on states nearly independent of incident microwave power.

Quadrature-coupled microwave electrodeless lamp

An electromagnetic discharge apparatus including an electrodeless lamp containing a fill material which emit light when subjected to a high frequency electric field. Power is coupled to the contents of the lamp by a coupling fixture having an outer conductor of conductive mesh and an inner conductor. The electrodeless lamp is mounted between two electrodes, one from the inner conductor and one from the outer conductor which terminate closely adjacent to opposite outer surfaces of the electrodeless lamp.

Electromagnetic discharge apparatus

An electromagnetic discharge apparatus including an electrodeless lamp containing a fill material which emits light when subjected to a high frequency electric field. The lamp envelope is generally cylindrical. Power is coupled to the contents of the lamp by electrodes which encircle each end of the envelope and are spaced apart in the central region of the envelope to provide a capacitive gap between them. An inner coaxial conductor is connected to one of the electrodes and an outer conductor is connected to the other electrode by way of a conductive shielding member which encircles the lamp and the electrodes. A heating arrangement may be provided to maintain the temperature and thus the pressure of the fill material within the envelope constant.

Light source wherein high frequency power is capacitively coupled to a low pressure discharge includes at least one metallized power coupling conductor. A discharge lamp includes an envelope which is typically pear-shaped with a re-entrant cavity. The lamp envelope encloses a fill material which forms during discharge a plasma which emits ultravoilet radiation and typically includes on its inner surface a phosphor coating. An outer conductor is disposed around the outer surface of the lamp envelope. A conductive coating disposed on the inner surface of the re-entrant cavity forms the inner conductor. The outer conductor can be a conductive mesh or can be a conductive coating disposed on the outer surface of the lamp envelope in a pattern which permits light to escape from the lamp. When the conductive coating of the inner conductor is substantially more than one skin depth in thickness at the frequency of operation, the re-entrant cavity is substantially field-free and can be used to house power source circuitry. When the conductive coating of the outer conductor is substantially more than one skin depth in thickness at the frequency of operation, the light source is prevented from radiating high frequency power. A high frequency power source can be included in the light source.
