The invention seeks to improve the effectiveness of sortation and delivery point processing of military mail on behalf of the U.S. military. A method for distributing military mail includes the steps of compiling military unit and associated delivery code information into a computer searchable military address management system database which associates a military unit zip code with a current geographic location for that unit; obtaining military unit personnel change of address information from a number of sources including a national change of address database maintained by a federal postal service and input from a military unit to which a military mail recipient belongs, which information is compiled into a computer searchable military change of address database, which information includes change of address information more recent than change of address information reflected in a federal national change of address database; and using information from the military address management system database and the military change of address database to redirect incorrectly addressed mail pieces to a military mail recipient's current address.

Apparatus for improved sortation and delivery point processing of military mail

A table or similar structure is provided having an expandable surface area arrangement where the usable or working surface area is retractable into and out of a housing along a curvilinear path that includes both horizontal and vertical components and wherein weight compensating structure is provided to offset the impact of vertical movement of the surface area. The usable surface is formed from an array of adjacent panels connected by a backing web which allows them to lie flush together when the surface area is retracted for use and to separate as needed to follow the curvilinear path when retracted into the housing for storage. The extent of movement into and out of the housing is variable according to the amount of surface area required in a given instance. When implemented into a dining table, for example, vertical support legs for one end of the table can be attached to the end panel of the surface area which is first withdrawn from the housing. The panel are supported by telescopic guide rails which retract into and out of the housing coincident with the movement of the panels, but to which all of the panels are not fixed at all times. The housing can include an opening to allow debris to be removed from the panels even when retracted into the housing.

The accessory pair of bumpers can be attached to the toilet seat to insure that the toilet seat is elevated high enough above the width of the light body.

Method and apparatus for computer aided completion of the interconnection pattern of a printed circuit board left after an automatic interconnect routing system fails to connect all points needing connection. The invention utilizes operator and/or automatic intervention in combination with system provided indicia representative of regions, about each of a set of points to be interconnected on the board, where conductors can be placed according to predesignated interconnect protocols or constraints. The system provides selectable logical operations on the regions that permit operator display of indicia from which the operator can intervene to complete the interconnection by providing a minimal sacrifice of protocols or through automatic intervention to complete the interconnect pattern between points in each region according to a data base of acceptable protocol modifications. A list of sets of points which failed to be connected by the automatic router is prioritized to permit the system to take up each unconnected set of points for completion in an order that optimizes efficiency or success likelihood. The interconnect completion system can be utilized on part or all of a printed circuit board wiring project in order to improve overall interconnect efficiency or cost minimization without regard to whether or not automatic routing would provide a connection between points.

This invention relates to a modular mechanism and methods for synchronizing the speed of one engine with a reference speed such as another engine particularly as found in boats. A physically limited range of fine tuning is combined with the normal operation of existing manual control over its full range of course adjustment, without interference, by way of an adjustable link coupled non-resiliently in series with the throttle linkage and allowed to slide along a non-circular shaft or key that causes micrometer adjustments in length of the link between the manual control and the throttle when the key is turned. The key can be turned by a differential device or reversible motor responding to continuous or interruptable power related to the engine speeds. The device will not bind and need not be stopped from turning at or between its limits because both ends of the linkage cannot encounter opposing stops simultaneously, the link can slide longitudinally on the key, and the key rotates freely at the limits of adjustments. A material is attached to a fastener associated with the housing, coaxial with the housing's longitudinal axis. The fastener, the material being tested, and the extrusion boundary of the fluid seal are independent of the pressurized fluid applied to the fluid seal.
