Various patterns of receptor holes formed in the torso, arms and legs of a plastic toy action figure permit various accessories, also of plastic, having compliant press-in pins to be selectively added to and removed from the toy figure. Additionally, a rotatable coupling mechanism extends through the torso, the coupling mechanism having a receptor hole at each end thereof, the holes in the coupling mechanism being in a predetermined relation with respect to prearranged patterns of receptor holes in the front and rear of the torso. In this way, accessories can be plugged into the ends of the coupling mechanism. The coupling mechanism is provided with two sets of facial teeth or serrations that are normally resiliently urged into engagement but which disengage if the coupling mechanism is subjected to an excessive amount of twisting force, thereby avoiding breakage. Associated with the coupling mechanism is a sound creating device that produces an audible clicking as the coupling mechanism is rotated in either direction.

Dump truck toy with enclosure

A mechanical action toy for young children and the like includes a housing or enclosure having a plurality of separate compartments in communication with each other and one of the compartments is provided with an exterior wall of light transmitting material comprising a window to permit viewing of the interior. A dump truck having a movable hopper is mounted in the window compartment and is adapted to contain a plurality of playing pieces such as marbles or the like which are collected in the hopper and subsequently may be dumped therefrom. A manually activated elevator system is provided in the other compartment for collecting dumped out marbles and elevating the same for discharge back into the hopper of the dump truck after the hopper is returned to a collecting or marble holding position. In addition, the toy apparatus includes a pair of wheels which are driven to rotate and to move up and down to resemble traveling over a rough and bumpy road. An animated figure in the form of a truck driver is mounted in the cab of the dump truck and is selectively movable. A push button whistle is provided to make a sound that resembles the toot of a horn and another sound generator is incorporated with the system for drivingly rotating and moving the truck wheels up and down.

Mechanical action toy

A toy detective set for the amusement of children includes a casing for housing various detective play items. The casing is formed from two identical and mating casing halves which can be separated and expose the play items. The set also includes a flashlight which has a top handle. The flashlight has a locking system on the bottom thereof for engaging the casing halves to lock them together in closed position. The flashlight handle then can be used as the carrying handle for the combined interlocked flashlight and casing. Mounting boards are provided within the casing, having hooks or the like for releasably mounting such detective items as a rotatable reflective mirror which can be used in combination with the flashlight for producing a flasher effect, a viewing scope which can be mounted on the flashlight for viewing objects illuminated by the flashlight, a magnifying glass and fingerprint analyzer which also can be mounted on the flashlight for illuminating fingerprints and comparing them with fingerprints on a card, fingerprint powder and ink for producing fingerprints on a fingerprint card or other substrate, clay for taking impressions of objects, a roll of transparent adhesive tape for picking up fingerprints or other evidence of a crime, a handwritting analyzer which is used in combination with the flashlight, a face identifying device for reconstructing facial characteristics of an imaginative criminal and a supply of cards including police record cards and case evidence cards. Shelves are provided in the casing halves for holding papers, the supply of clay, pencil and fingerprint brush, and separate compartments are provided in the casing for containing the fingerprint powder and ink and the viewing scope.

Toy detective set

A wheeled, toy vehicle or van which includes a plurality of operable devices or accessories. The toy vehicle is adapted for use with a figure toy having a pair of mechanical hands in the form of hooks. The van includes a front end which opens to provide access to the cab or driving compartment and a rear tailgate which opens to provide access to the back, cargo area of the van. A ladder is adapted to be hooked onto the side of the van to permit climbing onto the top or roof of the van by the hooks of the figure toy for use of the various accessories. One of the accessories includes a large, mechanical hand which mounts to the interior, exposed surface of the tailgate when the tailgate is in an open, fully vertical position. A side door on the van provides access to the rear portion thereof, which includes a periscope and a radar-computer control console for use by the figure toy. Many of the accessories include especially adapted handles for use by the mechanical hand hooks of the figure toy.

Toy vehicle for use with a figure toy

A play kit for the amusement and entertainment of a child in simulating outdoor activity while playing with a doll or other toy figurine. The kit includes a carrying case in the form of a free-standing gazebo having a hexagonal base. At each corner of the base an ornamental post upstands and is secured at its upper end to a hexagonal roof member for supporting the member above the base. Between one or more pairs of adjacent posts, low fence sections may be mounted as appearance improvement features and as functional members, e.g., providing support to the structure. A fold-down side panel is provided for each side of the hexagonal case for opening and closing the case. Each panel is secured to the base at a lower base edge thereof and has a fold line adjacent the base edge. When folded down, the panels provide horizontal platforms having upwardly facing platform surfaces as additional floor play area extending peripherally about the gazebo floor. One or more of the panels may have secured to its platform surface a play item or structure such as a hammock or a swing in which a doll may be positioned during play. When the panels are moved to their upright position enclosing the case, the hammock or swing is carried therewith to a position within the interior of the gazebo for storage purposes. Releasable latches are provided to retain the side panels in their upright positions while the case is being stored or transported.

Figure toy play kit

A child's entertainment or hobby kit in the form of a constructable wheeled vehicle having a plurality of components which are connected by interconnecting frame members in a manner which permits them to be disassembled and rearranged. The vehicle includes a longitudinally elongated frame member on which a pair of rear wheels are removably mounted by a unitary rear wheel support member slidably and frictionally fit on one end of the frame member. A front wheel is removably mounted by a fork to the front end of the elongated frame member by a pair of T-connectors between the frame member and a front wheel mounting member. The T-connectors each include three recesses which slidably receive and frictionally engage the frame member, an intermediate connecting shaft, and the front wheel mounting member. Other connectors are provided for removably mounting a simulated engine, a figure riding toy, a spark plug shaped back rest, and rear stabilizing fin. Alternatively, a self-contained removably mounted power driven unitary rear wheel support member is provided to propel the vehicle across a suitable supporting surface.

Wheeled vehicle construction kit

A sculpturing kit and method for producing dehydrated sculptured forms from hydrated articles, such as apples or other fruits and vegetables. The sculpture kit includes a transparent heating chamber for mounting an article on a base which includes an incandescent heating source mounted therein. A plurality of templates are provided for use by the sculptor to shape an apple, for instance, into a facial or other form prior to the dehydration process within the heating compartment. The kit also includes a heat drip shield which prevents liquid extracted from the article from contacting the light source, as well as a plurality of sculpturing tools.

Sculpturing kit and method for producing dehydrated forms from hydrated

A toy potato chip maker for producing dry cooked potato chips which includes a cooking chamber with openings in opposite walls of the cooking chamber to provide a substantially horizontally alined passageway through the chamber. A continuous screen-type conveyor is mounted on a pair of rollers on either side of the cooking chamber so that prepared slices of potatoes can be moved either stepwise, successively through, or continuously through the cooking chamber, and out of the cooking chamber by hand rotation of a crank on one of the rollers. Lightbulbs are located in the cooking chamber, both above and below the passageway, to create radiant heat for cooking the potato chips which are moved by the screen through the cooking chamber. A novel potato slicer also is provided.
