The invention relates to a hair removal device () having a hair removal unit () and a skin cooling unit (), wherein the skin cooling unit () has a skin contact surface (), and the skin cooling unit () is equipped to apply an application substance () onto the skin by way of the skin contact surface () during use of the hair removal device. In addition to the cooling of the skin by means of contact cooling, a further cooling effect may also be achieved in such a hair removal device in that an application substance is applied, which contributes to the cooling of the skin, for example, by means of evaporation. The hair removal device may comprise a removable attachment, which also comprises at least the skin.

Hair removal device

A hair-shaping appliance includes a hand-held portion, a hair-shaping element extending from the hand-held portion, an evaporator mounted within the shaping element, a tank mounted within the hair-shaping element in a moveable manner, a dosing device connected to the tank, and an actuating button connected to the tank. The actuating button and tank are connected such that movement of the actuating button displaces the tank along a longitudinal direction of the appliance (e.g., towards and away from the evaporator). In addition, the actuating button is positioned on the hand-held portion of the appliance and is positioned to allow single-handed operation.

Hair-shaping appliance

A hair styling appliance includes a handle portion, a heating portion for heating the hair, and a holding member (,), with the latter being movable into an open and a closed condition. The hair can be placed in between the heating portion and the holding member (,) for styling. A pressure member (,) for exerting a pressure force on the hair is arranged between the heating portion and the holding member (,).

An electrical heating unit, particularly for a hair drier, comprises a first wire heating element, in particular a spiral coil wire heating element (2) having a heat conductor support comprising at least one support plate (4, 5, 6), and a heat conductor winding (7) arranged thereon. This spiral coil wire heating element serves to heat the stream of air flowing through the hair drier. At least one second wire heating element is provided, serving the function of adapting the electrical voltage for a further electrical load, particularly as a series resistor, for a direct-current motor fitted with an impeller to produce the stream of air. The second wire heating element (3) comprises a frame-type heat conductor support (8) and a heat conductor winding (9) arranged thereon which fills the free area of cross section of the heat conductor support (8). Further, the second heating element (3) is secured to the first heating element (2).

The invention is directed to a filter device (10) and to a method of cleaning such a filter device for an electrically powered air-moving hair-care appliance, in particular for a hair dryer, a hot-air curling brush or the like, with a filter element (12) having an inner and an outer side (25, 26), in which the inner side (25) of the filter element (12) is arranged in the area of an air entrance opening of the appliance. The filter element (12) is configured as a type of fabric, perforated foil or the like of small thickness, comprising in particular a screening fabric made of a plastic material. Further, the filter device (10) is configured in such manner that contaminants such as hair, fluff, dust or the like which are retained by the filter element (12) are substantially deposited on the outside of the filter element, and that the outside of the filter element is positioned on the hair-care appliance in a manner providing substantially free access to the user, and that contaminants are removed by the user simply wiping over the outer side (26) of the filter element (12).

Filter device for an air-moving hair care appliance

The invention is directed to an electrical appliance comprising a housing for accommodating at least one functional component and at least one rechargeable storage cell adapted to be connected to the functional component, a storage cell charging circuitry, and an appliance plug provided on the electrical appliance and connected to the storage cell charging circuitry, the appliance plug having a receiving aperture for positive engagement with a mating connector for supplying a line voltage, the appliance further comprising latching elements provided on the appliance plug as well as on the detachable housing or housing portion.

Electrical appliance with battery charging capability and connection

An electrical appliance includes housing structure for accommodating a drive motor and at least one rechargeable storage cell cooperating with the drive motor. A storage cell charging circuitry and appliance plug structure are provided on the appliance, the appliance plug structure includes a connector base with a receiving aperture in which contact pins are provided for engagement with a mating connector of a power cord supplying electrical power to the storage cell. The connector base is rotatably mounted, serving to locate the housing structure on the appliance and to interrupt the supply of power from the contact pins to the storage cell charging circuitry prior to disassembly of the appliance.
