High isolation grounding device

This disclosure discloses a technology that enables a first set of electrical connectors hosted via a first carrier board to simultaneously engage with a second set of electrical connectors hosted via a second carrier board. This simultaneous engagement occurs based on a movement of the first carrier board toward the second carrier board, or vice versa, such that the first set of electrical connectors progressively engages and aligns with the second set of electrical connectors to enable signal communication therethrough. The movement of the first carrier board toward the second carrier board can be facilitated via a fastener.

Technologies for simultaneous engagement of electrical connectors

The electrical connector or device includes a first center contact, a first outer conductor, a first insulation material, a second center contact, a second outer conductor, a second insulation material, a spring, and a flexible wire. The first center contact has a longitudinal axis. The first insulation material is retained between the first center contact and the second outer conductor. The second center contact has a longitudinal axis. The second insulation material is retained between the second center contact and the second outer conductor. The longitudinal axis of the second center contact is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the first center contact. The spring is in contact with the first outer conductor and the second outer conductor. The flexible wire is attached to the first center contact and the second center contact.

Modular RF connector system

The electrical connector includes a first block, a second block, a first support bead, a second support bead, and a wire. The first block includes a first groove and a first rib. The first block is metallized so as to conduct electricity. The second block includes a second groove and a second rib. The second block is metallized so as to conduct electricity. The first support bead does not conduct electricity. The second support bead does not conduct electricity. The wire conducts electricity. The first and second support beads support the wire. When the first rib of the first block is inserted into the second groove of the second block, then the first support bead, the second support bead, and the wire are retained between the first block and the second block.

A robust multi-port front panel RF (radio frequency) connector system design using a single lead screw is provided. The system allows for individual connector removal from the header while installed. Additionally, the system employs a user applied torque limiting feature for robustness. This individual connector removal can be provided by way of a slider bar which retains cables in place when in the 'closed' or 'locked' position.

A new low profile miniaturized air dielectric variable capacitor for use in hybrid circuits. A very cost effective, low priced variable capacitor that combines precision with a low profile is disclosed for use in hybrid circuits and other applications where space requirements are tight. The new capacitor uses a unique design to achieve an extremely low profile, less than 0.127 inches, for varying capacitive ranges. The new design is achieved by creating the stator as part of the circuit layout or design. The stator is actually formed on the surface of the substrate by a thick film metallization or by copper etching and one or many capacitors can be formed as part of the circuit layout. Thereafter, a metallic conductive housing, internally threaded, is positioned over the stator. Internal to the housing is an externally threaded rotor having an adjusting knob or screw extending through the housing. With a thread density of one hundred twenty-eight turns per inch on the housing and the rotor, four complete revolutions can be achieved for purposes of adjustability of the capacitance. With housings of diameters varying between less than a quarter of an inch to a half inch tunable capacitive ranges can be achieved between one and nine picofarads. Because the design of the capacitor is leadless extremely high frequencies can be utilized up to those in the gigahertz range.

The other major surface of the stator has a transverse slot having a capacitance forming electrode over the bottom portion that is substantially parallel to the flat major surface. A spring biased rotor terminal is affixed to the end of the shaft extending through the stator.
