A portable electric rescue tool, such as spreader and cutter tool, that allows for manual or remote operation, and operates on a DC power source, which may be an external power source and/or an onboard rechargeable battery. For example, the tool includes a battery cradle or battery attachment portion adapted to removably receive a rechargeable battery pack and electrically couple the battery pack to the tool. The tool also includes a power adapter that is adapted to be removably coupled to the battery attachment portion instead of the battery pack, and allows the tool to be electrically connected to an external DC power source, such as a vehicle battery or other DC power source.

A disinfectant device includes a housing, a UV source disposed within the housing, a reflector for directing rays from the UV source downward through a bottom of the housing, a motion detector, a frequency detector, and an indicator light, said UV source specific to a non-visible light spectrum in a range of 200 nm to 222 nm. The bottom can be an open bottom or may include a glass covering. A timer can be included to display a duration for the UV source to be turned on. The device can include a protective curtain about a perimeter of the bottom of the housing. The reflector can be ellipsoidal in shape to direct the rays from the UV source downward through the bottom of the housing.

The present invention relates to a protective face mask and filtration article, a method for using a protective face mask and filtration article, and a design for manufacturing. In particular, the invention relates to a self-contained, mobile, battery-powered bioactive and filtering breathing appliance that provides broad spectrum antimicrobial and allergic protection via an atomized biocidal agent steam/vapor and a torturous hydrophilic filtration article that sterilizes incoming air and captures debris. To this end, antimicrobial activity and filtration functions leverage a redundancy of means/methods comprised of antimicrobial hydrogen peroxide liquid/vapor/steam and an iodized salt containing hydrophilic filtration article. The present invention is a wearable apparatus that sterilizes incoming air by capturing, neutralizing and destroying airborne pathogens and other particulate matter and pumps sterilized oxygen/air for natural, unlabored breathing by the wearer. The present invention further relates to a production method thereof.

A support apparatus comprising an engagement member having a plurality of walls integrally formed with each other and a support member. The support member includes a bracket member pivotably coupled to the engagement member and a leg member pivotably coupled to the bracket member. The bracket member comprises a plurality of fixing apertures corresponding to a fixing member extending from the engagement member. Each fixing aperture is configured to receive the fixing member. A pivot aperture is provided for receiving a pivot member which is configured to be received by a pivot support positioned on the engagement member. A biasing member is coupled to the pivot member such that the pivot member is movable with the bracket member away from the engagement member and such that the bracket member is rotatable when the pivot member is moved away from the engagement member. The leg member is adjustably extendable.

Support apparatus

A container, e.g., a carry-case, includes: a body having an internal cavity for storing contents, the body including at least one access side of the body having at least one opening sufficient in size to accommodate movement of the contents through the opening(s); and at least one lid configured to releasably close the at least one opening, respectively. The body further includes: first and second stacking sides in which are formed complimentarily-shaped surface feature(s) and surface feature(s), respectively, configured to be releasably engageable with the corresponding surface feature(s) formed in second and first stacking sides, respectively, of other instances of the container. The present invention provides environmentally acceptable solvent-based surface coatings that are particularly useful as pigmented polymeric roof-coatings, sealants, caulks, and the like. A solvent-based surface coating composition of the invention comprises an n-propyl bromide-containing solvent with a polymeric coating resin dispersed therein. In a preferred embodiment, the composition comprises a solvent containing n-propyl-bromide and a liquid hydrocarbon, with a filler (e.g., a pigment) and a polymeric coating resin dispersed therein.

A sterile needle with a trailing plastic tube receives telescopically and frictionally within the trailing tube a metal implant bushing sheathed in tissue compatible silicone rubber. A double headed wire extends through and beyone one end of the implant bushing. When the needle and trailing tubing are passed through the scalp for a sufficient distance to implant the silicone rubber sheathed bushing, the headed wire is held against movement of the bushing while the trailing tube is pulled off of the implanted bushing and separated from the scalp. A curved adapter needle may be employed in the initial penetration of the scalp. The silicone rubber sheathed bushing may be wired with or without a top bar for hair piece attachment.

A straight needle for penetrating the scalp substantially parallel to the underlying bone structure has a trailing tissue-compatible flexible preferably transparent plastic tube which contains a stainless steel bushing. After being pulled through the scalp puncture openings by the needle, the needle with a portion of the trailing tube is severed and discarded with a section of the tube and the contained bushing remaining in the scalp with end portions projecting outwardly of the puncture openings. The external end portions of the bushing are turned upwardly approximately normal to the scalp and a parallel lock bar to which a hair piece may be anchored is attached in close parallel relationship to the implanted bushing by a wire which is threaded through the bushing and its encasing tube before bending the ends of the bushing. The wire ends are also threaded through the tubular lock bar and tightened prior to crimping the ends of the lock bar on the wire and removal of excess wire ends to complete the implanted unit. Sterile packaging is featured. Only simple tools are required. Strain on the edges of scalp puncture openings is eliminated. By a modification, plural bushings can be implanted in the scalp in a connected array by continuous crimped wires which will prevent both the wires and the bushings from moving relatively. The wire crimped portions between bushings lie close to the scalp for the attachment of a hair piece.
