Provided herein is a methods, apparatus, and system for the configuration of customizable trays for the storage and dispensing of articles. Methods may include: receiving an indication of a plurality of articles to be stored in a tray; determining a plurality of bins corresponding to the plurality of articles; generating a layout of the bins on the tray; identifying locations of the plurality of articles within the bins on the tray; and causing the tray to be configured according to the layout of the plurality of bins on the tray. Methods may include: receiving an indication of an article to be loaded into a bin of the plurality of bins; receiving a unique identifier of the bin of the plurality of bins into which the article is loaded; and storing, in a memory, a correlation between the unique identifier of the bin and the article loaded into the bin.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for storage and dispensing of articles

An alignment meter for a rail system includes a housing defining a cavity, a flexible member connected to the housing, and at least one strain measuring element provided on the flexible member. The strain measuring element may be configured to measure the strain experienced by the flexible member. At least one strain measuring element may be positioned to measure strain in a horizontal direction relative to the flexible member. The at least one strain measuring element may be positioned to measure strain in a vertical direction relative to the flexible member.

Provided herein are a method and apparatus for identifying and labeling medications in overpack containers, and more specifically, to identifying a medication and generating information relating to the medication to be included on a label for an overpack container of the medication. In particular, methods may include receiving an article at an imaging station, capturing images of the article from a plurality of positions about the imaging station, receiving the article into a container, and identifying the article from at least one of the captured images. The at least one of the captured images may include identifying indicia. Methods may also include generating information related to the identified article in response to identifying the article, and causing the information related to the identified article to be presented on a label associated with the container. Generating information related to the identified article may include generating destination information associated with the article.

Method, apparatus, and computer program product for the identification and packaging of medication

A tool for removing shrink wrap from a product may include a first abrasive surface, a second abrasive surface, and a pressing surface, where the first and second abrasive surfaces are movable with respect to one another between an engaged position and a disengaged position, and where in the engaged position, the pressing surface presses the product into engagement with the first abrasive surface and the second abrasive surface. The first abrasive surface and the second abrasive surface may be located on a first arm and a second arm respectively. The first abrasive surface may be stationary relative to the first arm and the second abrasive surface may be stationary with respect to the second arm. The pressing surface may include a pressing element which is rotatable around an axis.

A tool for separating material layers may include a first arm including a first end and a second end; a second arm including a first end and a second end; a first material contact pad carried by the first arm proximate the first end of the first arm; and a second material contact pad carried by the second arm proximate the first end of the second arm. The second end of the first arm may be joined to the second end of the second arm, and the first material contact pad and the second material contact pad may be movable with respect to one another along two substantially orthogonal axes.

An apparatus for singulating unit dose blisters from a blister card including at least two perforations separating unit dose blisters positioned adjacent to each other and extending along a longitudinal length of the blister card is provided. The apparatus may include a perforation determiner and a blister card cutter. The perforation determiner may be configured to generate information indicative of a distance between a first perforation location and a second perforation location of the blister card with respect to perforations extending along a direction substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal length of the blister card and separating unit dose blisters to be singulated. The blister card cutter may be configured to utilize the received information indicative of the distance and the total number of perforations to determine cutting locations for cutting at the first perforation location, the second perforation location and additional perforation locations and enable cutting of each perforation extending substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal length of the blister card responsive to sequential cutting and repositioning operations based on determined cutting locations.

System, method and corresponding apparatus for singulating a unit dose blister card

An apparatus is provided for determining a path or route in which a robot may be guided to perform a task(s) and avoiding one or more obstacles or obstructions. The apparatus includes at least one memory and at least one processor configured to receive origin location information via a Near Field Communication (NFC) tag associated with a key in an instance in which the key is positioned in an origin location. The processor is also configured to receive target location information via the NFC tag associated with the key in an instance in which the key is positioned in a target location, at which a task is performed by a robot and may generate a route for the robot to traverse in order to complete the task based in part on the origin location information and the target location information. Corresponding computer program products and methods are also provided.

Methods, apparatuses and computer program products for utilizing near field communication to guide robots

An apparatus for facilitating cutting of unit dose blisters from a blister card is provided. The apparatus may include a platform, a clamp, a blade and a sensor. The blister card may be positionable on the platform for cutting. The clamp may be positionable to hold a portion of the blister card in contact with the platform for cutting when the clamp is seated. The clamp may be operatively coupled to a guillotine head. The blade may also be operatively coupled to the guillotine head. The guillotine head may be configured to move the blade through a range of motion that intersects a plane of the platform. The sensor may be positioned to detect a seating status of the clamp to enable control of movement of the guillotine head based on the seating status.

Method and apparatus for facilitating cutting of a unit dose blister card

An apparatus for cutting unit dose blisters from a blister card is provided. The apparatus may include a blade, a guillotine head and a card holder. The guillotine head may be operatively coupled to the blade. The guillotine head may be configured to move the blade through a range of motion that intersects a plane of a platform on which the blister card is positionable for cutting. The card holder may be operatively coupled to the guillotine head to hold the blister card against the platform in advance of the blade being moved through the plane of the platform. The blade may be biased to maintain a surface of the blade in contact with a cutting base at least until the blade intersects the plane of the platform.
