A bearing sleeve element comprising a thin sheet of metal like bronze or brass with 'dog bone' shaped pattern cut out through metal sheet in combination with a thin sheet of Teflon compressed and trapped inside 'dog bone' shaped cavities of metal sheet in order to serve as a low friction bearing between two sliding surfaces.

Self lubricating bearing sleeve

A mechanical seal comprising an elastomeric modified O-ring in combination backup rings typically made of a low friction material such as Teflon with matching surfaces to modified O-ring surface to provide low dynamic friction and meantime prevent seal extrusion due to high pressures and temperatures.

Elastic contact seal

A mechanical spring energized sealing device comprising in combination an elastomeric jacket and variety of resilient metallic springs inserted inside one uniform jacket casing, there are variety of energizer springs which are used for different needs in marketplace, depending on whatever application calls for, this patent allows us to use most spring energizers in addition to some new angular canted type spring which fits inside one uniform jacket.

Multi spring ring

This invention describes a seal ring which is consisted of a spiral spring wire acting as an expander device where in turn is inserted inside a C and or U shaped jacket made of a softer material such as elastomer or teflon in such a manner that forces the outer and inner lips of this jacket outwardly and inwardly accordingly to create a seal under extreme side loading and offsets of mating shaft.

Springclip ring

An industrial wheel for trolleys, carts, pulleys. And the like with a self lubricated bearing of fuoroplastic, or the like, that slants at an angle from the center of the wheel out to the rim, so as to have a larger surface area, with consequent lower force or friction. The slanted bearing also locates the wheel in the center, eliminating the need for retaining devices along sides of the wheel.

Low friction wheel

A method of making a spring-energized elastomeric seal is disclosed in which the seal has a C-shape or a U-shape spring substantially surrounded by an elastomer. The method uses a male die section upon which the spring is loaded. A female die section is positioned around the male section. Elastomer is injected, cooled and the die sections pulled apart yielding the finished seal.

Method of making elastomeric embedded spring seal

An improved seal for use in a hydraulic system such as a piston rod in a housing, the seal having a stressing member and sealing member in which the latter is in point contact with, for example, a piston rod under low fluid pressure and has an additional contact area with the piston rod under high fluid pressure; a shallow concavity between the point contact and the contact area entraps lubricating fluid when the seal is subjected to high fluid pressure. In another modification the sealing member has an incline on the face in contact with the stressing member so that under high fluid pressure, the stressing member is forced up the incline and thus exerts increased pressure through the sealing member against the contact area and produces an effective high fluid pressure seal. In still another embodiment the sealing member has a concave surface to receive the stressing member such that it is centered, during low pressure operation, over a sealing contact area of the sealing member.

Hydraulic seal assembly

A mechanical spring seal comprising in combination an elastomeric jacket and a resilient spring insert having modified and matching C-shaped cross-sectional configurations. The major portion of the length of the spring follows a relatively straight path between a curved base and a position along the cross section at which the spring is widest, forming a pair of opposed cantilever arms which provide the major sealing force. From this region of greatest width to the tips of the spring, the curvature is substantially sharper, enabling the end of the spring to fit in fixed locked position within the jacket which conforms to it. At the base of the C-shaped spring, the curvature is also sharper than it is in the long cantilever arm portions. The spring receiving interior concavity in the jacket is complementary in nature to the shape of the spring, and has an open side for insertion of the spring into the jacket, the inwardly angled tips of the spring preventing its release from the jacket although the spring can also be replaced by an O-ring.

Modified C-shaped mechanical spring seal

A spring having an enlarged diameter base mountable in the heel of a seal casing to enable flared arms extending forwardly from the base to freely exert by cantilever action an outwardly directed spring bias against the casing while the spring is retained by its base in the casing. A method of making a continuous spring from a single strip of metal to form opposing flared arms extending from an enlarged concave base.

Method of making improved spring seal

A seal comprising a spring having an enlarged diameter base mounted in the heel of a seal casing to enable flared arms extending forwardly from the base to freely exert by cantilever action an outwardly directed spring bias against the casing while the spring is retained by its base in the casing.
