An interactive speed profile bar that enables crew awareness of the overall planned flight trajectory speed profile. The speed profile bar will have a graphical depiction (e.g., virtual buttons having alphanumeric symbology) of some or all of the speed segments of the speed profile. Each graphical element (e.g., virtual button) includes symbology identifying the applicable speed mode and corresponding target speed change. Each speed segment will start at the inflection point where the speed change will occur in the flight plan, and will continue until the next trajectory speed change. The speed profile bar will be interactive, allowing the flight crew to select the speed segment to change, in response to which selection the system displays graphical user interface elements showing a menu of the available speed segment options. Each individual speed segment is represented by an individual virtual button that can be selected by touching the screen or other input device.

Systems and methods for enabling a pilot to select an automated response to an air traffic conflict alert. In accordance with one embodiment, the system includes updated displays, an updated autoflight mode control panel and high-level software logic in the autopilot, flight director and autothrottle to provide an expedited response. A mode control switch may be optionally included. In accordance with an additional option, the system may be configured to operate in a fully automated state in which the system responds automatically to the air traffic conflict event without needing the pilot to first accept the automated response before its execution.

Controlling a movement of an aircraft. A computer system detects a position of a group of integrated control levers for the aircraft. The computer system controls a forward thrust, a drag, and a reverse thrust generated by the aircraft based on the position of the group of integrated control levers.

Aircraft movement control system

A system and method for handling information for use on a flight deck network on an aircraft. Information is received from a number of information sources. The number of information sources is not part of the flight deck network. The flight deck network is a certified network. It is determined whether the information is approved to be used on the flight deck network. A manner in which the information is allowed to be used on the flight deck network is also determined. Responsive to a determination that the information is approved to be used on the flight deck network, the information is sent to the flight deck network during operation of the aircraft.

Information handling for aircraft flight decks

Systems and methods for providing pre-flight dispatching are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system for on-board dispatching of an aircraft includes a flight dispatching apparatus positioned within the aircraft that is configured to perform one or more flight dispatching tasks. A communications apparatus is configured to exchange wireless signals between the dispatching apparatus and one or more ground-based facilities. In another embodiment, a method of dispatching an aircraft includes designating a person to perform predetermined dispatching tasks, and establishing a wireless data connection between the aircraft and at least one ground-based facility. Information obtained from the at least one ground-based facility is then processed to perform the one or more dispatching tasks, and at least a portion of the processed information is communicated to the at least one ground-based facility using the wireless data connection.

System and methods for on-board pre-flight aircraft dispatching

A system may generate a modified flight plan for an aircraft based on an original flight plan. The system may provide an automatic strategic offset function that includes an autoflight system; a sensor system including at least one of a global positioning system, an inertial reference unit, or an air data computer; and a flight management computer. The flight management computer may be operably coupled with the autoflight system and/or the sensor system. The flight management computer may process a flight plan of the vehicle and generate a non-uniform offset value in the vertical and/or lateral orientation between the flight plan and a boundary. The offset value may be used to create an offset flight plan for navigating an aircraft.

Automatic strategic offset function

Embodiments of methods and systems for providing an automatic strategic offset function are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method for enhancing the collision avoidance capability of an aircraft includes determining a flight plan, determining a boundary for the flight plan, generating a variable offset from the flight plan that is within the boundary, the variable offset including a lateral offset distance, and navigating an aircraft based on the variable offset.

A field and stream boot for traversing rivers, lakes and stream beds, as well as, outdoor trails which includes; an upper construction with a hard heel, a hard toe, an ankle cup, and a metatarsus rigid panel that provide foot protection from outdoor or underwater terrain and obstacles; and an outsole construction where the outsole has peripheral intermittent tread surrounding a heel array of tungsten carbide spikes overlain with felt with the spike protruding through the felt but not below the peripheral intermittent tread, and surrounding a forefoot array of tungsten carbide spikes overlain with felt with the spikes protruding through the felt but not below the peripheral intermittent tread. The tread may be in the form of lugs, cleats or other gripping ribs or ridges.

Field and stream boot

A riser attachment for mower height adjustment includes a bracket attachable to a mower and a roller removably attachable to the brackets. Each bracket includes a cavity therein which receives an arm extending from a support structure which rotatably supports each end of the roller such as through an axle passing through a collar in an interface to which the arm is connected. The roller or other bearing surface extends below a mower support plane in which primary ground support structures of the mower are located. The roller or other bearing surface of the riser attachment thus elevates a cutting reel of the mower slightly to provide a second cutting height for the mower. This second cutting height can be adjusted through height adjusters which control a distance that the arms extend into the cavities of the brackets. Levers are rotatable to secure or release the arms within the cavities.

Mower height adjustment system

An aquatic fin for propulsion of a watercraft including a foot securing section and a blade section. The blade section having a top surface forming a concavity and a bottom surface forming a convexity. The blade section and foot section are joined by side walls and struts which define channels for directing water around the convexity in order to lessen the resistance of the fin moving downwardly and rearwardly through the water and with the upwardly and forwardly movement of the fin the concavity increases the resistance through the water, thereby propelling the watercraft away from the direction the user is facing. The foot securing section including knobs having radially extending oval tips in which latch plates on each end of a cross-strap that extends across the instep of the wearer seat over the knobs and are retained in place by clips on opposed ends of a heel band extending around the heel of the wearer, locking the cross-strap and heel band from detachment from the knobs unless the clips on the heel band are rotated into orientation with the oval tips.

Aquatic fins

A pontoon watercraft having a pair of inflatable pontoons, secured by a framework, which maintain the pontoons spaced apart and symmetrical and parallel with each other. The watercraft has an integrated load distribution system, which includes coordinating the seat, foot rests, oar locks and auxiliary mount with the physique of the user whereby the center of gravity of the watercraft is preferentially established.

Pontoon watercraft integrated load distribution system

A personal pontoon watercraft having a pair of pontoons with twin bladders secured by a three piece yoke frame which maintain the pontoons spaced apart and symmetrical and parallel with each other to accommodate the user, with an integrated load leveling system for personal and operational convenience. The watercraft is adapted to support an adjustable motor and anchor mount behind the user and two piece oars in gunwales at the outermost part of the yoke frame. The design provides for other auxiliary items such as a mesh fish basket, storage containers and the like. Further, the watercraft is assembled with no special tools and when disassembled the entire watercraft can be stored in a suitable bag having a length of approximately four feet and a girth of approximately six to seven feet. In addition, two pontoon watercrafts are coupled in tandem with the fore ends of the pontoons of one watercraft nestled with the aft ends of the pontoons of another watercraft with a lattice work coupling the frame of the two watercrafts, which form a composite watercraft. The watercrafts are adapted to support stand-up apparatus.

Pontoon watercraft

A dual pontoon float having a pair of inflatable pontoons joined together by a rigid floatation seat which secures the pontoons in parallel and symmetrical alignment; an upper inflatable horseshoe body having arms is releasably secured to the pontoons by its arms in one of a more aft or more fore position relative to amidships for distributing the load; the arms are secured to the pontoons with loop and pile fasteners and belts and buckles; a backrest is attached to the center of the horseshoe body; the open end of the body includes a spacer or stabilizer bar, whereby the spacer bar and rigid floatation seat resist inward collapse and rotation of the pontoons; thus when inflated and assembled, provides a rigid, stable dual pontoon float with the pontoons parallel and symmetrical; storage compartments are attached to the arms and backrest; and an apron is releasably connected between the spacer bar and arms to provide a working surface.
