A system for evaluating a measure of appropriateness of additive manufacturing (AM) to manufacture a vehicle part of a vehicle is provided. The system includes a plurality of data source importers to import a plurality of datasets from a plurality of data sources to a data collection system with a composite dataset including data of the plurality of datasets. The system also includes a dataset manager system (DMS) to manage the data collection system. The system further includes a client application coupled to the DMS. The client application receives a user request for the measure of appropriateness of AM to manufacture the vehicle part of the vehicle during a lifecycle of the vehicle. In response to the user request, the client application produces the measure of appropriateness using an evaluation of a plurality of assessments on the data retrieved from the composite dataset.

Quester evaluation for additive manufacturing of a vehicle part

A method is provided for compressing a binary geometry file for a structural product. The method includes accessing the binary geometry file that contains a geometric model of a structural product that is formed of component parts, the geometric model including an assembly of geometric models of instances of the component parts. The method includes identifying the component parts of the structural product, and generating a master binary geometry file for the structural product that contains geometric models of the component parts. The method includes applying the binary geometry file to a coder that generates a corresponding compressed binary geometry file. The coder searches the binary geometry file for the geometric models of the instances of the component parts, and substitutes references to respective ones of the geometric models of the component parts in the master binary geometry file.

Compressing binary geometry files for structural products

A method is provided for reconfiguring a vehicle for transfer from a first operator to a second operator. The method includes accessing first datasets that define an initial configuration of the vehicle, importing second datasets that describe maintenance, repair or service of the vehicle during in-service operation with the first operator, and generating a first composite dataset defining a current configuration of the vehicle. The method also includes accessing third datasets that define requirements of the vehicle for in-service operation with the second operator, and generating a second composite dataset that defines a target configuration of the vehicle from the first composite dataset and based on data of the third datasets. The method includes comparing the first and second composite datasets to identify modifications to reconfigure the vehicle from the current configuration to the target configuration, and generating a visual presentation of the modifications to facilitate reconfiguration of the vehicle.

Reconfiguring a vehicle for transfer from a first operator to a second operator

A method is provided for rendering a scene including a digital three-dimensional (3D) model of a structure. The method includes traversing a scene graph composed of a hierarchical group of nodes representing respective 3D objects of the digital 3D model, and selecting nodes of the hierarchical group of nodes. The method includes adding a plurality of objects represented by the selected nodes to a render queue, performing a multiple-pass rendering of the plurality of 3D objects from the render queue. This includes in a pass of a plurality of passes, rendering a threshold portion but not all of the plurality of 3D objects to a framebuffer for output to a display device, with at least one of the plurality of 3D objects being left in the render queue after rendering the threshold portion. The method may also include a mesh simplification and/or z-occlusion.

Multiple-pass rendering of a digital three-dimensional model of a structure

A system for supporting maintenance of an aircraft is provided. The system includes a plurality of database importers. The database importers import a plurality of datasets from a plurality of data sources to a database with a composite dataset including data of the plurality of datasets. The system also includes a database-management system (DBMS) to manage the database. The system further includes a client application coupled to the DBMS. The client application receives a user request for a demand for replacement aircraft parts for maintenance during an in-service lifecycle of the aircraft. In response to the user request, the client application predicts and thereby produces a prediction of the demand based on the data retrieved from the composite dataset.

Supporting maintenance of aircraft

A method is provided that includes receiving a first electronic document for a manufactured product, with the first electronic document including first data regarding the manufactured product. The method includes extracting the first data from the first electronic document. And the method includes correlating the first data so extracted and second data regarding the manufactured product to produce aggregated data including the first data and second data, and storing the aggregated data in a storage from which the aggregated data is queryable.

Extraction, aggregation and query of maintenance data for a manufactured product

A locking assembly includes a first housing including legs at opposed corners and including a flange extending from a bottom thereof that includes an aperture for receiving a fastener therethrough. The first housing has a pair of slots formed along the top thereof, a third slot medially formed of the pair of slots, defines a cavity therein and has a notch in a rear thereof. A second housing is positional within the first housing and includes a conduit that has a threaded inner surface and guide tracks conjoined to the sidewalls thereof. A mechanism is included for adapting the second housing between retracted and extended positions. A mechanism is included for prohibiting the seat from unintentionally biasing between retracted and extended positions. An actuating arm having is disposed within the third slot, is pivotally connected to the first housing and includes a spring member.

Adjustable anti-theft locking assembly for vehicle seats

A self-contained fire escape apparatus for mounting in a wall of a building adjacent an associated window includes a collapsible ladder. A cover is securely attached to a first end of the ladder. A box is configured to provide storage space for the ladder and defines a bottom wall, front and rear walls, a pair of sidewalls, and an opening in the front wall. A second end of the ladder is securely anchored to the box. The cover is releasably attached to the box to cover at least a portion of the opening such that a person can manually remove the cover and eject the cover and the first end of the ladder through the associated window. The box is configured for mounting within a building wall in close reception between a pair of upright structural members of the building wall. The collapsible ladder 2 is sufficiently small in its collapsed condition that it fits within the box 8 for storage. The ladder preferably includes a handle link with at least three elongate rigid handle sections that are rigidly interconnected. At least two of the handle sections form integral stand-offs that abut a flat surface to thereby support a first handle section in a spaced-apart relationship from the flat surface such that a person using the ladder can easily and securely grasp the first handle section.

A mobile work station for a painter or the like includes a frame and further includes a tray to hold paint containers (such as a paint pan) as well as tools, accessories and the painter's personal items. The tray may be segmented or divided into compartments for the paint pan and various articles. Legs are pivotally mounted on the frame for ease of storage and transport, and the legs have stored and depending positions, respectively. A removable cover is provided for the tray; and the cover may be disposed between the legs to further support the legs and to serve as a shelf during use of the mobile work station.

Mobile work station for painter

A mobile work station for a painter or the like comprising a tray to hold paint containers and tools, four legs with wheels and a handle. The tray may be divided into compartments to more securely hold the paint containers. The legs are pivotally mounted and may swivel through 270.degree. for storage in the tray for ease of storage and transport. The legs may be secured in the depending and in the stored positions. A removable shelf may be attached to the work station to hold accessory equipment, tools and personal items. A carrying strap is provided to facilitate transport of the work station.
