An indicator device for detecting the presence of another device and alerting a user of the indicator device may comprise a housing, an electrical power source, a proximity sensor configured to detect the presence of the other device, and one or more indicator elements operable to alert the user of the indicator device where the proximity sensor is configured to operate the indicator element if the distance between the indicator device and the other device is below a predetermined value. The proximity sensor may be configured to operate the indicator element if the distance between the indicator device and the other device is within a predetermined distance.

Chemical synthesizer systems and methods for operating the same. One method includes receiving a first queue of instructions including a plurality of delivery instructions for operating a delivery assembly with respect to a plurality of synthesis plates and a plurality of vacuum instructions, grouped in a plurality of vacuum sections, for operating a vacuum assembly with respect to the plurality of synthesis plates. The method also includes sequentially processing each instruction included in the first queue of instructions by (i) executing the instruction when the instruction is one of the plurality of delivery instructions and (ii) moving, when the instruction is one of the plurality of vacuum instructions, one of the plurality of vacuum sections including the instruction to a second queue of instructions and executing instructions included in the second queue of instruction in parallel with instructions included in the first queue of instructions.

Systems and methods are disclosed for managing electronic communications. According to certain embodiments, an enterprise directory is provided for listing a plurality of enterprises. In one embodiment, the enterprise directory may include an enterprise profile for each enterprise identifying, among other things, a mode of communication for the enterprise. Enterprises that wish to communicate with one another may form partnerships with one another. In one embodiment, a partnership may be formed between two enterprises when one enterprise accepts a partnership request submitted by the other enterprise. Information regarding partnerships between enterprises may be stored in a database. Further, an enterprise user may request to electronically communicate (e.g., via IM, voice, or email) with a user associated with a different enterprise. Users associated with different enterprises may be allowed to communicate electronically with one another if their respective enterprises are in a partnership with one another.

A structure and method for forming a U-clip assembly made of a plurality of U-clips arrayed in a continuous abutting relation, each U-clip having first and second slots defined in its crown portion with first and second soft metal wires positioned, respectively, in such first and second slots, such soft metal wire forming a shallow U shape between adjacent crown portions, such first and second soft metal wires being compressed within their slots to expand within such slots for contacting and urging against the sides and bottom of each slot and being retained therein, such soft metal wire and its shallow U shape between adjacent crown portions allowing the U-clip assembly to maintain a non-curved shape and to be substantially flat in configuration.

Methods and apparatuses for remotely accessing data through a wireless device are disclosed. Preferably, the wireless device includes an ability to link data between software components operating on the wireless device. Additionally, the wireless device preferably includes an ability to reduce remote data access by identifying a first data type and a second data type used by a software component, retrieving data corresponding to the first data type from a service provider, retrieving data corresponding to the second data type from the portable device, and displaying on the portable device a return content result including both the first data type and the second data type.

Data access architecture

A replaceable electrical ionizer cartridge or module including a support platter having a central air passage opening therethrough and at least two emitter points supported by the support platter so as to extend into the opening. At least one electrical connector is supported by the support platter and is electrically connected to at least one of the emitter points. Two levers are pivotally attached to the platter at an end thereof. To install the module in the ionizer housing the platter is inserted in through a slot in the housing so that side edges of the platter engage in guide structure in the housing. The platter is then slid along the guide structure and when the platter is nearly fully inserted in the housing, the guide levers are pushed towards the housing. This causes the levers to bias against the housing, pushing the platter into the housing such that the connector(s) engages with one or more corresponding electrical connectors in the housing. The module is thereby in an operative position in the housing with the air passage opening aligned with the ionizer fan. When the ionizer points become dirty, the module is simply removed from the housing by pulling on the levers and then pulling the platter fully out of the opening. The emitter points are cleaned at a location remote from the work site of the ionizer and the module reinserted. Alternatively, a similar second module with clean emitter points is inserted into the housing.

A hog-ring type clip-applying device having an upper jaw and a lower jaw with a clip receipt area defined therebetween to receive and clench a hog ring clip. The lower jaw is attached to a rear handle, and the upper jaw is attached to a diagonally disposed lever bar which is pivotally attached near its top to the lower jaw. The lever bar is pivotally attached at its bottom to a front handle member which has a guide opening disposed at the top thereof to receive therethrough the upper and lower jaws. A spring member urges the front handle member apart from the rear handle. A clip slide directs clips forward into the clip receipt area between the upper and lower jaws such that when the front and rear handles are moved together, the jaws grasp a clip from the forwardmost end of the clip slide and move forward through the guide opening in the top of the front handle to a position such that when the front and rear handles are further moved together, they clench the clip.

A dual conductor wristband utilizing a two-wire tether having a greatly modified single snap design. The wristband includes a strap (band) and a connector case, the case having a male snap for receiving a dual connector female socket. The male snap incorporates a plunger and a conductive rubber washer that activates the plunger so there is always electrical contact in both electrical circuits. The invention may be used with dual line constant resistance, capacitance, impedance, and non-monitored systems.

A lightweight pneumatic hog ring gun utilizing a pair of pivoting jaws to catch and retain a hog ring for application when a power wedge spreads the rear of the jaws apart, clinching the hog ring, with a lock piston that retains tension on the rear of the jaws before spread by the power wedge to aid in retention of the hog ring. The pneumatic hog ring gun also includes an improved air pressure control mechanism and a shorter, lightweight main piston chamber formed within its frame.
