A snap on, drain back fitment closure for a container, wherein the drain back pour spout fitment has a snap fit structure overlaying a container or bottle neck finish and which may be secured thereto with adhesives. The snap fit structure has an outer annular skirt with an internal, radial inwardly facing bead engaging a radial outwardly facing surface of the bottle finish. Spaced from the outer annular skirt by a horizontal upper flange, the spout fitment includes an inner annular skirt with internal threads on the fitment to receive an externally threaded closure. The closure has a plug seal above the threads engaging the fitment. Further the pour spout has a radial outwardly extending drip-less pour spout at an end thereof.

A single use unit dosage dispensing closure includes a shell attached to a container, an axial movable cap attached to the shell, a dust cover preventing premature actuation of the cap, and a sealing member coupled to the cap. The shell has an inner guide in communication with the container and the cap is moveable along the guide. The cap has a chamber adapted to dispense material into the container. The chamber is sealed with the sealing member extending across a lower open end thereof, wherein axial movement of the cap along the inner guide member will open the chamber and dispense the contents of the chamber into the container. The axial movable cap is formed from a material with a higher oxygen and moisture barrier property than the material forming the shell.

Single use unit dosage dispensing closure

A independent off bottle single use unit dosage dispensing closure includes a shell attached to a container, an axial movable cap attached to the shell, a sealing member coupled to the cap, and a removable retainer attached to the shell. The shell has an inner guide in communication with the container and the cap is moveable along the guide. The cap has a chamber adapted to dispense material into the container. The chamber is sealed with the sealing member extending across a lower open end thereof, wherein axial movement of the cap along the inner guide member will open the chamber and dispense the contents of the chamber into the container. The retainer prevents relative movement between the cap and the shell until the retainer has been removed.

A container closure includes a shell attachable to a container around a container opening thereof. The shell has a shell opening in fluid communication with the container opening when the shell is attached to the container. A tip is received on the shell movable between a closed position sealing the shell opening and an open position. A cover is releasably attached to the shell in a manner indicative of the tip being positioned in the closed position when the cover is attached to the shell. The cover includes rib engaging ribs for maintaining the cover tip and shell in proper alignment when the cover is attached to the shell.

An injection molded container closure with a continuous internal projection, in particular a rib having a length-to-width ratio of at least one and one-half, is formed with a mold cavity between a pair of mold halves. One mold half includes a core forming the interior of the closed annular structure of the container closure, wherein the core is separated into a movable core portion and a remaining core portion at a separating line defined at the internal rib for forming the same.

A container closure is disclosed which includes a shell attachable to a container around a container opening thereof. The shell has a shell opening in fluid communication with the container opening when the shell is attached to the container. A tip is received on the shell movable between a closed position sealing the shell opening and an open position. A cover is releasably attached to the shell in a manner indicative of the tip being positioned in the closed position when the cover is attached to the shell. Both the shell and the cover may be provided with tamper-evident bands. The present invention is particularly well adapted to be formed as a push-pull container closure for sports bottles and the like.

Sports beverage snap closure

A container closure is attached to a container having an opening. The closure includes a tip moveable between an open and a closed position. The tip has an opening adapted to be in fluid communication with the container opening with the tip in the open position, wherein a flow path for contents of the container is defined between the container opening and the tip opening when the tip is in the open position. The tip further includes at least one horizontal seal in the flow path for sealing the closure when the tip is in the closed position and at least one vertical seal in the flow path for sealing the closure when the tip is in the closed position. The tip may be attached directly to the container and the motion of the tip from the closed to the open position may be stopped directly by the container.

Resealable pushable container closure and cover therefor

A container closure includes a shell attachable to a container around a container opening thereof. The shell has a shell opening in fluid communication with the container opening when the shell is attached to the container. A tip is received on the shell movable between a closed position sealing the shell opening and an open position. A cover is releasably attached to the shell in a manner indicative of the tip being positioned in the closed position when the cover is attached to the shell. Both the shell and the cover may be provided with tamper-evident bands. The present invention is particularly well adapted to be formed as a push-pull container closure for sports bottles and the like.

An injection moldable closure includes a base member having a top and a substantially cylindrical side with internal threads thereon. The top of the base member includes a socket with an aperture at the bottom of the socket and a groove extending away from the socket. The closure includes a pour spout which is symmetrical about a longitudinal axis thereof. The pour spout includes a cylindrical stem, a ball attached at one end of the cylindrical stem and a passageway extending through the cylindrical stem and the ball along the longitudinal axis of the pour spout. The ball of the pour spout is received within the socket such that the pour spout can be moved between a closed position with the cylindrical stem received within the groove and an open position wherein the passageway is aligned with the aperture.

The present invention provides a peel-top flexible plastic closure to be formed by injection molding. The closure of the present invention is of reduced weight by incorporating a plurality of tapered-wall sections about the top surface of the closure. The closure of the present invention can be manufactured utilizing an injection mold having a single center gate.

Lightweight peel-top can lid

The present invention discloses various one piece, flip style, injection molded, pour spout type closures. Each closure includes a frame having an aperture therethrough with a door hinged along a bottom edge of the aperture for opening and closing the aperture. Side panels are attached to the door and extend between the door and the side edges of the panel to form the pour spout when the door is in the opened position. Two embodiments of the present invention provide hinged side panels which fold up to help seal the closure and provide a substantially flat panel with the door in the closed position. Another embodiment of the present invention provides fixed side panels adapted to extend through the aperture and including stop members to limit the outward movement of the door to the fully opened position.

Flip style closure

A cap for a container has three distinct positions, including a closed position, an intermediate spray position and a fully open pour position. The cap provides a fluid tight seal when in the closed position and provides a fluid tight seal from pouring when in the spray position. The cap includes a shell defining a fluid passage to the container and a tip with pouring and spraying apertures axially movably secured to the shell. The tip is pulled up to select a dispensing position, which causes a stem disposed in the shell to engage or disengage with an aperture in the tip, depending on the selected dispensing option.
