One embodiment provides a non-contact power transmitter device including a sealed housing provided at least partially within a surface, and a transmitter coil within the sealed housing configured to inductively transfer power to a power receiver device. The power transmitter device also includes a transmitter control unit coupled to the transmitter coil, a transceiver configured to communicate with the power receiver device, and an electronic processor coupled to the transmitter control unit and the transceiver. The electronic processor is configured to establish, using the transceiver, communication with the power receiver device, and negotiate power transfer requirements between the power transmitter device and the power receiver device. The electronic processor is also configured to control the transmitter control unit to transfer power to the power receiver device.

Inductive power transfer

An electrical receptacle including an outlet for electrically connecting to an external load, a load terminal electrically connected to the outlet, a line terminal electrically connected to a line and configured to receive line power, an interrupting device, and a testing circuit. The interrupting device electrically connects the load terminal to the line terminal when in a first condition and electrically disconnects the load terminal and the line terminal when in a second condition. The testing circuit is configured to determine when the external load is electrically connected to the outlet, and place the interrupting device in the first condition when the external load is electrically connected to the outlet.

System and method for controlling an electrical receptacle

A power switch including a line input configured to receive a line voltage, a load output configured to output the line voltage, a contact, a switch, a housing including a rear portion and a front cover coupled to the rear portion, an indicator supported by the front cover, the indicator configured to provide an indication of the power switch, and an indicator lens positioned between the indicator and the front cover. The contact is configured to selectively electrically connect the line input to the load output, the contact having a closed position in which the line input is electrically connected to the load output, and an open position in which the line input is not electrically connected to the load output. The switch is configured to selectively control the contract between the open position and the closed position.

One embodiment provides a non-contact power transmitter device including a sealed housing provided at least partially within a surface, and a transmitter coil within the sealed housing configured to inductively transfer power to a power receiver device. The power transmitter device also includes a transmitter control unit coupled to the transmitter coil, a transceiver configured to communicate with the power receiver device, and an electronic processor coupled to the transmitter control unit and the transceiver. The electronic processor is configured to establish, using the transceiver, communication with the power receiver device, and negotiate power transfer requirements between the power transmitter device and the power receiver device. The electronic processor is also configured to control the transmitter coil unit to transfer power to the power receiver device.

The electronic processor analyzes a present operation of the external load and discontinues power to the external load when a present operation of the external load differs from the operational profile.

A cable grip for a flat cable is provided. The cable grip includes a wire and a tapered wedge lock secured to the wire to define a closed eye. The tapered wedge lock forms a two-sided compression connection on the flat cable.

Flexible cable support grips for flat cables

A power switch including a contact configured to selectively electrically connect a line input to a load output, a switch configured to selectively control the contract, and an indicator. The contact has a closed position in which the line input is electrically connected to the load output, and an open position in which the line input is not electrically connected to the load output. The switch has an on position wherein the contact is controlled to be in the closed position, and an off position wherein the contact is controlled to be in the open position. The indicator provides a normal on status, a normal off status, and an error on status.

An electrical connector includes a housing and a conductive contact assembly disposed in the housing. A first contact member of the contact assembly receives a blade contact of an electrical device. A second contact member receives an electrical wire through a push-in connection. The electrical connector is receivable by an aperture in a rear surface of the electrical device.

Push wire connector having a spring biasing member

An electrical connector includes a housing and a conductive contact member disposed in the housing. A first contact portion of the conductive contact member receives a blade contact of an electrical device and a second contact portion electrically engages an inserted electrical wire. A spring member is disposed in the housing and is connected to the contact member. A rotatable member is movable between first and second positions. When the rotatable member is in the second position the spring member secures an inserted wire in electrical engagement with the conductive contact member and prevents removal of the inserted wire. When the rotatable member is in the first position the spring member allows for removal of an inserted wire and allows for insertion of a wire in the housing.

Push wire connector having a rotatable release member

A fixture for installing a flexible wire mesh grip over an elongated cable includes a base having spaced opposite ends and an internal cavity extending longitudinally therebetween. The spaced opposite ends define respective first and second passages opening into the internal cavity. The internal cavity has a cross-sectional size larger than that of a tubular body of the grip in a compressed non-gripping condition to accommodate the presence of the tubular body in the compressed non-gripping condition and of an annular collar secured on one end thereof within the internal cavity. The internal cavity and first and second passages of the base have respective cross-sectional sizes larger than that of the cable to permit insertion of the cable therethrough. The cross-sectional size of at least one of the first and second passages of the base is smaller than that of the internal cavity and of the annular collar and the tubular body in the compressed non-gripping condition so as to define an interior shoulder on the base that at least partially surrounds the one passage and against which the annular collar secured on the one opposite end of the tubular body can be placed to facilitate moving the other opposite end of the tubular body toward the annular collar and one opposite end to convert the tubular body from an expanded gripping condition to the compressed non-gripping condition with respect to the cable and thereby facilitate movement of the cable through the passageway of the tubular body and thus relative to the grip.

Method for compressing wire mesh grip to facilitate installation on cables

A male electrical connector having an insulating plug body and a cylindrical sleeve surrounding conductive prongs extending from the plug body. The sleeve has at least one aperture in a side wall thereof to removably receive a locking member. The removable locking member is preferably a padlock having a substantially U-shaped shackle extending through the aperture in the sleeve to prevent insertion of the male connector into the mating female connector.
