A power outage socket device that may be installed on a variety of lamps or light fixtures. The bottom of the device has a male connector adapted to be inserted into the light socket on the lamp or light fixture, in place of the light bulb. A female socket adapted to receive the light bulb is located on the top of the device. The male connector may be recessed. When power is interrupted, emergency power is provided to one or more emergency light sources on the device to provide light. Emergency power is provided by one or more batteries, which may be rechargeable. The device also may include means for connecting a lamp harp, or for allowing a lamp harp to pass through the device. A photoelectric light sensor may be used to detect ambient light and control whether emergency light is provided when normal power is interrupted.

Power outage light socket device

A lamp display system () is disclosed for displaying various lamp shades () with various lamps (). The lamp display system includes a rear wall (), a top shelf (), a middle shelf (), and a bottom shelf (). The system also includes a plurality of lamp shade mounting arms (). Each mounting arm has an arm portion () extending to a light bulb socket (), and a harp (). Each mounting arm may be mounted to an elongated mounting bracket () which in turn is mounted to the rear wall. The mounting arms are also staggered in height and/or distance from the rear wall to allow for the compact display of many lamp shades.

Lamp display system

A light () is disclosed for use with a patio umbrella () having a central pole (). The light has an external housing () and an internal light source (). The external housing includes an annular base plate (), an annular dome shaped light diffuser (), a tubular pole guide () having a central bore (), and a locking ring (). It should be understood that the umbrella pole () has a select diameter which is smaller than the bore of the pole guide.

A lamp display table () is disclosed for use with several lamp bases LB and several lamp shades LS. The lamp display table () has a base () with an upright, vertical support (), a lamp base platform () rotatably coupled to the vertical support (, and lamp shade platform () in the form of a radial array of shade supports () rotatably coupled to the vertical support () and adapted to hold a lamp shade LS.

Lamp display table

An adjustable harp is disclosed for use with a lamp () having a base () and a base bracket (). The adjustable harp () is coupled to the base bracket (). The harp () has a top member () and two oppositely disposed, legs (). Each leg () has a top portion () and a bottom portion () telescopically mounted within the top portion (). The harp has locking means to releasably lock the relative positions of the top and bottom portions.

Adjustable lamp harp

A light fixture mounting system () is disclosed having a cover plate () having a pair of post holes () therethrough, a mounting plate () has two, oppositely disposed peripheral hooks or catches (), a latch bar (), and two threaded posts (). Each catch () has a horizontal portion () and a vertical portion () extending upwardly and terminating with a tang (). The latch bar is coupled to the cover plate () for reciprocal movement between an engaged position distal the cover plate and a locked position proximal the cover plate. The latch bar () has two internally threaded adjustment holes () which are configured and threaded to receive two threaded posts () which extend through the cover plate post holes (). Each post has a head portion () which may be configured to receive the drive end of a screwdriver or may be externally configured to enable one to grasp and rotate it with ease.

Lighting fixture mounting system

A light fixture ( ) is disclosed which includes junction box ( ), an annular mounting plate, a canopy ( ), a collar loop ( ), a collar nut ( ) and a light assembly ( ) which includes a length of electric cord ( ). The canopy ( ) includes an outer shell ( ) and central winding spool ( ) which is mounted concentrically within the canopy outer shell ( ) and concentrically about a mounting opening ( ) within the canopy ( ). The central winding spool ( ) has a generally cylindrical central portion ( ) and an annular flange portion ( ) extending from the top of the central portion ( ). The slack portion of the electric cord ( ) may be wound about the winding spool ( ) in order to stow it in a safe and efficient manner.

Light fixture

A convertible modular lantern is provided which includes a mount assembly, mountable to a structure, a housing supported by the mount assembly, a downrod and light cluster assembly connected to the housing and a shade assembly attached to the housing and disposed in surrounding relationship with the downrod and light cluster assembly. The shade assembly may include a plurality of light transmitting panels. The downrod and light cluster assembly includes at least one lamp socket mounted on a support member, with a light bulb disposed in each socket, and a hollow downrod attached to and extending upwardly from the support member. A first plurality of wires is electrically coupled at one end to each socket and extends upwardly within the downrod, terminating at the opposite end in an upper electrical connector. A second plurality of wires is provided which is also coupled at one end to each socket and terminates, at the opposite end, in a lower electrical connector. The lantern further includes a third electrical connector which is engaged with and electrically connected to one of the upper and lower electrical connectors, depending upon the desired configuration of the lantern. The lantern may further include a second housing, with one housing attached to an upper portion of the shade assembly and the other housing attached to the lower portion of the shade assembly. The lantern may also include one or more decorative finials or a decorative tail.
