A head garment having a base section and a face section is provided where the face section is both affixed to the base section and releasably extends over the face of the user to create a magnetic seal against the elements. The head garment may also include a magnetic fastener to position the face covering section when it is not extended over the face of the user.

A rheometer apparatus and methods of use are provided. In one embodiment, the rheometer includes a sleeve having an interior space; a cylindrical bob disposed within the interior space of the sleeve and coupled to a first end of a bob shaft; a cross-spring pivot coupled to a second end of the bob shaft; an arm coupled to and projecting radially from the cylindrical bob; and a linear actuator coupled to the arm. In some embodiments, the rheometer apparatus may facilitate more accurate gel shear strength measurements and/or may be correlated with existing rheometer measurements.

An apparatus for testing lost circulation materials ('LCMs') for use in a formation is disclosed. The apparatus may comprise a LCM cell that contains at least one formation simulation component. A pressurized tank may be in fluid communication with the LCM cell, and may force a sample LCM slurry into the LCM cell. An LCM receiver may also be in fluid communication with the LCM cell, and may receive the LCM slurry that flows through the LCM cell.

Method and apparatus for testing lost circulation materials for subterranean formations

In some instances, a fluid loss control enhancement additive may synergistically work with lost circulation materials ('LCM') to arrest lost circulation in wellbores where LCMs alone have been ineffective. For example, a method may involve treating a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation with a pill comprising an aqueous base fluid and a lost circulation material; observing fluid loss from the wellbore to the subterranean formation while treating the wellbore with the pill; and adding salt, a swellable polymer, and fibers to the pill.

A method for forming water resistant and breathable handwear is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: providing an outer shell, a liner that inhibits the transfer of heat from a user's hand, and a water resistant and breathable insert; applying a heat activated adhesive to a finger portion of the outer shell and the liner; assembling the outer shell, insert, and liner; and curing or activating the heat activated adhesive to form a bond between the layers. Water resistant handwear made through the process are also disclosed.

A method and apparatus for automatically testing high pressure and high temperature sedimentation of slurries is described. The method includes pumping a sample drilling fluid into a test cell. The sample drilling fluid may be subjected to a pre-determined pressure and a pre-determined temperature for a pre-determined period of time. The test cell may also be oriented at non-vertical angle. The sample drilling fluid may be pumped out of the test cell and the density of the sample drilling fluid automatically measured relative to a displaced fluid volume of the sample drilling fluid.

Method and apparatus for automatically testing high pressure and high temperature sedimentation of slurries

A wellbore fluid sampling system may comprise a mixing system coupled to a wellbore sample supply and a recycled diluent supply, a fluid analysis system coupled to the mixing system, and a diluent recycle system coupled to the fluid analysis system and the mixing system, wherein the diluent recycle system comprises an evaporator and a condenser. A method for recycling diluent may comprise combining a wellbore fluid sample with a diluent to form a diluted wellbore fluid sample, analyzing the diluted wellbore fluid sample to determine one or more fluid properties, separating at least a portion of the diluent from the wellbore fluid sample in the diluted wellbore fluid sample, and recycling the separated portion of the diluent for re-use.

An example well system including a drill string extending from a surface location into a wellbore and defining an annulus between the drill string and the wellbore, a fluid circuit extending through the drill string to a bottom of the wellbore and back to the surface location within the annulus, and further extending back to the drill string from the annulus, and one or more flow imaging devices in fluid communication with the fluid circuit to monitor the wellbore fluid and track a real-time particle size distribution (PSD) of one or more particulates suspended within the wellbore fluid.

The sample fluid flows through the gap and flows out of the gap through an outlet.

A method of servicing a wellbore in a subterranean formation comprising placing a wellbore servicing fluid comprising a lost-circulation composite material into a wellbore, wherein the lost-circulation composite material comprises a swellable component and a reinforcing component. A wellbore servicing fluid comprising a reinforcing component disposed within a swellable component wherein the swellable component comprises a crosslinked polymer.

Wellbore servicing compositions and methods of making and using same

A hydrated inorganic oxide material capable of elongating from a planar shape to a fiber shape along a thickness direction of the planar shape, wherein the fiber shape is at least about 25 times greater in the thickness direction than the planar shape, and wherein during elongating a radial dimension of the hydrated inorganic oxide material changes by less than about 10% may be useful in a plurality of wellbore operations. For example, a method may include introducing a wellbore fluid comprising an aqueous base fluid and a hydrated inorganic oxide material into a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation; and swelling the hydrated inorganic oxide material by contacting the hydrated inorganic oxide material with a polar amine compound such that the hydrated inorganic oxide material elongates from a planar shape to a fiber shape along a thickness direction of the planar shape.
