A System for Measuring Body Kinetics includes a wearable device configured to be wrapped around a joint. A microprocessor is attached to the wearable device. One or more Inertial Measurement. Units (IMUs) are connected to the microprocessor and arranged on the wearable device. The IMUs are arranged and configured to provide kinetic data concerning the joint to the microprocessor. A wireless transmission component is connected to the microprocessor. The microprocessor is configured to receive kinetic data from the IMUs, and to transmit the kinetic data by way of the wireless transmission component to a central processor or other device. An algorithm resides within the microprocessor or the central processor or other device, and is configured to determine the position of each IMU from the kinetic data. The wearable device may be constructed of fabric, strap, adhesive tape, or a combination thereof.

In one possible embodiment, a wireless network with dynamic transmission control is provided that includes a multiple of nodes. The nodes include an arbiter and multiple client nodes. The arbiter is configured to control an operation of the client nodes by defining communications operation cycles and allocating a bandwidth to each of the client nodes on a cycle by cycle basis in response to requests for bandwidth from the client nodes.

Video processing (e.g. video compression) circuitry () of the camera device receives video signals from a camera () and provides processed video signals. These are transmitted over a shared radio channel. A radio receiver () receives processed (e.g. compressed) video signals from the base station or another camera device. Images from the camera or the base station are displayed in a selected manner on a display or monitor (). The base station device () receives processed (e.g. compressed) video signals, stores them and retransmits them. A command signal is received by the radio receiver to modify operation in such a manner as to control bandwidth usage. Wireless camera devices can adjust their operation to accommodate other wireless camera devices. Different transport protocol modulesandcan be selected according to the application that the user selects for operation.

A system and method providing content for access by a portable device at an event is provided. The method includes receiving a plurality of signals from a plurality of sources and combining at least some of the plurality of signals for transmission to a plurality of broadcast systems, with the plurality of broadcast systems corresponding to a plurality of events. The method further includes determining the broadcast systems to which each of the combined signals is to be transmitted, transmitting the combined signals to at least one of the determined broadcast systems, and broadcasting the combined signals received by at least one of the broadcast systems corresponding to at least one event. The combined signals are configured to allow selection of content with a portable device, with the content defined by at least one of audio and video signals of the combined signals.

A system and method for providing a voice and/or data service is thus presented, comprising the following. A connection request is detected. The connection request is formatted into a data cell. The data cell is sent to a service control point. The service control point determines in real time whether a connection to public switch network is available. If the connection to a public switch network is available, the requested connection is set up as a virtual circuit connection to the public switch network.
