A unique interlock mechanism for two pushbuttons or other linearly operated devices, requiring no mechanical linkages or complex assemblies. The interlock mechanism essentially comprises an interlock member having first and second restraining portions disposed within a housing so that when one of the pushbuttons is operated, the interlock member rotates positioning itself under the second pushbutton, interfering with and making it impossible to be operated.

Pushbutton interlock

There is provided by this invention an interlock mechanism for converting two momentary electric control switches to the maintained control mode that is generally comprised of a single extension spring biasing the interlock mechanism in its last selected operating position.

Convertible momentary/maintained electric switch

A convertible switch operator for use as a pull momentary and as a push-pull momentary operation characterized by a tubular selector longitudinally movable in a housing and spring biased by a first spring for operation as a pull operator; and spring biased by two springs in an intermediate position as a push-pull operator.

Convertible switch operator

A push-pull switch operator characterized by separable contacts, a contact operating member, an actuating structure movable longitudinally to move said member, a guide adjacent the actuator for guiding the structure through longitudinal movement, the guide having a cam and the actuating structure having a cam follower, the cam follower being mounted on a spring biased slide for movement transversely of the longitudinal movement of the structure to effect push-pull momentary, push-pull maintained, and pull operation of the switch.

Push-pull switch operator

A detachable switch structure comprising an actuator, a contact block mounted on the actuator, and an adapter for mounting the contact block on the actuator; the block comprising a dielectric housing and enclosing separable contacts; the block being mounted on the actuator; the actuator comprising detachable interfitting means cooperative with corresponding means on the contact block housing which interfitting means includes elongated hook members on the adapter engageable with projections on the housing, the hook members including windows engageable with the projections, and the hook members including openings for insertion of a tool between the hook members and the projections for disengaging the same.

Detachable switch structure

A switch operator characterized by a switch operator and at least one switch, and an adapter for mounting the switch on the operator. The adapter and the operator are provided with interfitting bayonet type connections which are engaged and disengaged by rotation of one of the operator and adapter about the axis of the assembly, whereby operation of the actuator longitudinally of the assembly does not disconnect the bayonet-type connections.

A key lock rotary selector switch characterized by a switch structure and a rotatable operating unit; the switch structure having a reciprocable contact operating member for effecting opening and closing of a circuit through the switch; the operating unit comprising an actuator tube and a rotatable handle detachably connected to the tube, and an actuator cam for different modes of operating the switch; and a lock in the handle for locking the handle in a given mode of operation.

Key lock rotary selector switch

A turn-push electric switch operator characterized by a tubular housing having a switch operator therein with a detent extending therefrom, a detent cam having a camming surface inclined at an angle to the axis of the housing with a detent retaining notch, and a manual handle operable between first and second positions and having a camming surface for returning the handle from one position to the other.

Turn-start push-stop switch operator

A switch structure characterized by a pushbutton-rotatable switch handle and a plurality of switch blocks mounted in tandem, the switch blocks comprising molded base and cover portions which provide an insulating barrier between the moving and stationary contact arms for increased current capabilities, and the switches having reciprocable switch operating plungers which are actuated either together or separately by longitudinal or rotary movement of the switch actuator.

Switch structure

A rotary selector switch characterized by a rotatable switch actuator and at least two switch structures, the actuator having a shaft on which a handle is detachably mounted for operation in a plurality of modes to operate the switch structures in different combinations of open and closed conditions, the handle being detachably mounted on the shaft for rotating a cam through one limited sector thereof, the handle being repositionable on the shaft for rotation through another limited sector thereof, and the handle being rotatable between a pair of spaced ribs on the switch housing.

Convertible selector switch

A terminal connector characterized by a terminal conductor, a U-shaped terminal clamp mounted on and straddling the conductor, the conductor having an aperture and the terminal clamp having a tapped hole, a clamp screw extending through the aperture and seated in the tapped hole, and the conductor and the clamp having interengaging means for preventing separation when the screw is removed.
