A stand stores long-handled garden tools. The tools are removed from the stand to be used. The stand is unusually compact and permits a plurality of garden tools to be stored in close proximity to one another. The distal end of a garden tool is slidably received by a sleeve formed in the stand. The sleeve is shaped to contact the distal end of the tool and maintain the tool in a substantially vertical orientation while permitting the tool to generate a force which forces the stand against the ground.

A securing member is mounted on the end of the tubing. The end is slidably forced over the connector. The securing member is rolled along the tubing to a position at which the securing member elastically circumferentially compresses the tubing against the connector.

Method and apparatus for securing drip irrigation tubing to connector

An inlet hose feeds a tank that may be placed in a household sink which is too high above a floor for a conventional wet vacuum to lift a column of water. One or more inlet hoses each have a water pickup tube at the distal end. The hoses are connected to the tank chamber which has a vacuum created by a vacuum cleaner apparatus. An air inlet aperture in the pickup tube at the distal end of the inlet hose is kept above the water level. An air stream is drawn into the aperture of the pickup tube by the vacuum, which causes turbulence in the water stream in the pick up tube and breaks the water into droplets. This enables the vacuum of a given magnitude to lift the droplets to a higher elevation than a solid water column. Air inlet and water discharge valves are provided on the tank to control the water fill rate into the tank. An interior hose or channel stops the vacuum to the pickup hose when the fluid in the tank gets too high. A window in the tank permits observation of the fill rate. The valves are arranged to provide optimum water fill and discharge rates.

In a fastener-driving tool comprising a housing structure defining an axis and a nosepiece extending from the housing structure, a primary actuating structure is movable between a tool-disabling position and a tool-enabling position, and a secondary actuating structure is coactive with the primary actuating structure for moving the primary actuating structure to the tool-enabling position when the secondary actuating structure is pressed firmly against a workpiece. The primary actuating structure is biased to the tool-disabling position by a primary spring or springs. The secondary actuating structure is biased away from the primary actuating structure by secondary springs. When the secondary actuating structure is pressed firmly against a workpiece, the primary spring or springs exhibit a biasing force less than the biasing force exhibited by the secondary springs. The secondary actuating structure may also be biased away from the housing structure by a tertiary spring.

Fastener-driving tool with actuating structure biased by dual biasing

A wet cell battery monitor developed to monitor both electrolyte fluid level and electrolyte fluid charge (specific gravity) of a single cell. The monitor includes a probe and appropriate circuitry. The probe is adapted for insertion into a cell for monitoring and is connected to two circuits which are interconnected. Both include resistors, preferably variable, and include induction coil type relay switches. Blocking diodes are preferably used to maintain the independent integrity of each of the two circuit, one which warns of fluid level drop off and the other of a decrease in electrolyte fluid charge. The two circuits each drop off independenly in response to specific gravity (state of charge) and to fluid level, respectively, setting off alarms, e.g. visual or audio signals.
