A plurality of remote sensing images of a scene are received. A potential target object can be identified in one of the images, wherein the target object has a low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). A candidate motion path of the target object can be generated based upon the images. A predicted position of the target object along the candidate motion path is determined for each of the remote sensing images. An image chip is extracted from each of the images, where each image chip is centered about the predicted position of the target object in its corresponding image. A sum image chip is generated based upon the image chips. An indication that the potential target object is an actual object in the images is output based upon a value of a center pixel of the sum image chip.

Multi-frame moving object detection system

A system or method for a physical intrusion detection and assessment system is provided for determining a deliberate motion intrusion. The system includes first and second sensing device to sense physical data set within a predetermined space. A transducer module receives the first sensor physical data set and the second sensor physical data set and converts the first and second physical data sets into analog signals representative of the first and second physical data sets. A signal conditioning layer converts the first and second physical data analog signals to digital signals. A processor device correlates the first physical data set and the second physical data set and generates an alarm in response to identification of an intrusion in the space. A method and algorithms are applied to the data sets for determining whether a detected intrusion is associated with deliberate motion rather than random motion.

VMD fused radar&#x2014;a hyper-volumetric ultra-low NAR sensor system

An accelerometer includes a proof mass and a frame that are formed in a handle layer of a silicon-on-an-insulator (SOI). The proof mass is separated from the frame by a back-side trench that defines a boundary of the proof mass. The accelerometer also includes a reflector coupled to a top surface of the proof mass. An optical detector is located above the reflector at the device side. The accelerometer further includes at least one suspension spring. The suspension spring has a handle anchor that extends downwards from the device side to the handle layer to mechanically support upward and downward movement of the proof mass relative to a top surface of the proof mass.

Micromachined force-balance feedback accelerometer with optical displacement detection

A technique for computer vision uses a polygon contour to trace an object. The technique includes rendering a polygon contour superimposed over a first frame of image data. The polygon contour is iteratively refined to more accurately trace the object within the first frame after each iteration. The refinement includes computing image energies along lengths of contour lines of the polygon contour and adjusting positions of the contour lines based at least in part on the image energies.

Technique for identifying, tracing, or tracking objects in image data

Machine motion is directed using a graphical interface by establishing an icon in an image, displaying the icon in images having perspectives such that the icon is rendered in a corresponding relative position in the second images and moving the icons in the second images when the icon is moved in the first image, the movement being constrained along a line projected from a camera point associated with the first image and a target destination. Actions are defined using the icon and a set of action descriptors. The dominant motion space is constrained to a spherical coordinate frame centered on a vision locus and machine motions are mapped to coincide therewith based on a graphical interface view.

Controlling motion using a human machine interface

Systems and methods for modularization and discretization of real-time robot, telerobot and teleoperation systems using passive, network based control laws. Modules consist of network one-ports and two-ports. Wave variables and position information are passed between modules. The behavior of each module is decomposed into uncoupled linear-time-invariant, and coupled, nonlinear memoryless elements and then are separately discretized.
