A thermally modulating roof system wherein a minority of climate space between an existing and new roof is occupied by a phase change material assembly. The system maintains an industry standard of no more than a distance of about 4 inches between the roofs while still incorporating a substantial capacity to modulate an otherwise rising temperature of a facility during the day. Unique methods of installing the system, utilizing it and circulating air through the system to enhance performance are detailed.

Retrofit roof with a phase change material modulated climate space

A temperature modulating blanket utilizing a reflective surface to block radiation away from a phase change material during daylight and in thermal conductivity with the material to allow heat conduction out of the material at night at a faster rate than it is absorbed during the daylight. The reflective surface is uniquely tailored to both serve a reflective function during daylight while also being sufficiently thermally conductive to facilitate the heat conduction as indicated during night. Additionally, the facilities may be uniquely configured to promote an attic circulation that further facilitates freezing and recharge of the phase change material of the blanket during night hours.

Reflective temperature modulating blanket and architecture

A temperature modulating blanket utilizing a reflective surface to block radiation away from a phase change material during daylight and in thermal conductivity with the material to allow heat conduction out of the material at night at a faster rate than it is absorbed during the daylight. The blanket may be well suited for modulating temperatures of storage and other facilities. Additionally, the facilities may be uniquely configured to promote an attic circulation that further facilitates freezing and recharge of the phase change material of the blanket during night hours. For example, a secondary blanket utilizing a phase change material of a higher melting point may be placed at an elevated vent of a roof defining the attic to encourage such circulating and blanket recharge.

Reflective temperature modulating blanket

A tool for capturing a three dimensionally viewable image. The tool includes multiple reflective surfaces for generating one view of a scene whereas another view of the same scene from a slightly different location is obtained free of the reflected surfaces. Both views may be simultaneously captured by the lens and displayed together in a single image. Thus, a variety of sterographic techniques may be utilized for viewing the image in a three dimensional manner.

A trigger control assistance device that allows a firearm user to focus on pulling a trigger without concern over trigger release. That is, a finger extension is provided to interface the user's finger during firing of the firearm. The extension is configured to reciprocatingly displace the user's finger from the trigger at a controlled rate. This, in turn provides enhanced control for the user who may now focus on aiming and pulling the trigger without undue concern over releasing the trigger. Added features such as an adjustable rate of fire and GPS enabling and disabling of the firearm may also be incorporated into the trigger control assistance device.

Trigger control assistance device for a non-fully automatic firearm

A module to provide assistance in pulling of a trigger of a non-fully automatic firearm. The module includes a finger extension which engages the trigger and is powered by a compact motor such as an electrically driven solenoid. Further, the rate of trigger pulls and other parameters thereof are determined according to a processor of the module that is programmed to direct the solenoid. Thus, a user of the firearm may remain focused on sights and targeting while the act of achieving a trigger pull is accomplished by the extension of the module. Therefore, accuracy and safety of may be enhanced for the firearm.

Trigger assist module for a non-fully automatic firearm

A PCM heat insulation blanket () is positioned in a wall structure of a building for modulating the transfer of heat to and from the controlled internal temperature of the building structure. The PCM heat insulation blanket includes an array of pods () with one group of podsA containing a first PCM and a second group of pods containing a second PCMB having a different phase change temperature than the first group of pods. The pods with different PCMs are substantially uniformly intermixed among each other. The pods are formed of laminated sheets, each of which may include a metal foil that is vapor impermeable and tends to maintain the PCMs in the blanket at approximately the same temperature, and which also functions to reflect radiant heat away from the temperature controlled internal space of the building structure.

Heat insulation tiles () are supported in a grid () of support bars (and) of a ceiling assembly () with the ceiling tiles being in the form of insulation boxes () that form a dead air spaces () therein. Reflective material () is applied to at least one of the interior surfaces of the box that faces the dead air space () and a layer of phase change material () is applied to the insulation boxes.

The present disclosure encompasses provides thermal stabilizer compositions comprising a phase change material admixed with a support material such as a diatomaceous earth, and a nucleator. The present disclosure further encompasses a heat insulation blanket for reducing heat transfer between adjacent spaces, comprising at least two plies of thermoplastic sheet material in superposed relationship and a seal, wherein the seal connects the plies of sheet material to form a cell containing a volume of a thermal stabilizer comprising a phase change material, a support material such as a diatomaceous earth, and a nucleator.

A plurality of sheet supportsorof approximate rectangular configuration are placed on adjacent purlinsof a partially completed roof of an industrial building, about the second row of roof insulation support carriages. When the carriages are advanced along the lengths of the purlins to apply the sheet materialto the purlins, the sheet supportsormove in unison with the carriages of the second row of carriages and the rear segmentsupports the sheet material in the spacesover which the carriage is mounted and the side segmentsandsupport the sheet material extending from the first row of carriages in the next adjacent spaces between the purlins. This avoids the sagging of the sheet material between the purlins at the time when the hard roof panelsare fastened to the purlins.

The heat insulator includes a lower sheet () that is larger is both length and width than the upper sheet () so that the heat insulator can span over objects such as purlins, rafters and obstructions in a roof structure while maintaining the air gap () between the sheets. The air gap protects the reflectivity of the inner surfaces of the sheets, thereby preserving the ability of the sheets to reflect radiant heat. The larger, lower sheet can be formed in a single catenaries from edge to edge of the sheet, or in a multiple array of catenaries to form parallel, tubular air gaps (), if desired. The heat insulator can be mounted to fibrous insulation () or to other more rigid structures, if desired, when placed in a roof structure.

Radiant heat reflective cell blanket ( ) is formed with superposed support sheets ( and ) that form an array of cells thereover. A dead air space is maintained in each cell, and heat reflective sheets ( and ) are located within each cell. The reflective sheets ( and ) are adhesively connected to the upper and lower support sheets ( and ) to maintain a dead air space therebetween. The cells avoid the accumulation of dust, dirt, and fibrous material on the reflective surfaces of the blanket, thereby maintaining the reflectivity of the blanket, and the cells avoid outside contact by other objects that might reduce the reflectivity of the blanket.

Roof insulation applicator ( ) for applying sheet material to the roof of an industrial building includes a carriage ( ) for mounting on adjacent purlins ( and ) of a partially completed roof. Support roller ( ) is applied by the carriage to the upper surfaces of the purlins ( and ) and the carriage is tiltable about the support roller ( ). The center of gravity of the carriage ( ) is applied rearwardly of the support roller ( ). Purlin engager ( ) is mounted to the front of the carriage and engages under the upper laterally extending flange ( ) of the purlin ( ) and limits the downward pivoting of the rear end of the carriage applying a lever arm effect by the weight of the rear portion of the structure to the support roller ( ). This firmly holds the sheet material in its stretched configuration extending from the roof panel ( ) out to the support roller ( ), reducing the tendency of the sheet material to sag in between the adjacent purlins. Magnets ( and ) are mounted to the rear of the carriage to hold the carriage against the purlins when the purlin engagers are inoperative.

A heat block ( ) is positioned between the upper lateral flange ( ) of a purlin ( ) and the roof panel ( ) supported by the purlin. The heat block is in the shape of a barbell in that it includes opposed side portions ( and ) that are sized and shaped to extend laterally beyond the purlin ( ) out into the hot zone adjacent the upper portion of the purlin and the roof panel ( ). The heat block is of greater stiffness than the adjacent blanket insulation so that the heat block reliably occupies the space in the hot zone. Phase change material ( ) can be incorporated in the opposed side portions ( and ) of the heat block.
